Just to save you hassle of tearing into it. Good luck bro

Already double and triple checked, and even had a leak down test done. It showed 97% leakage in number 1 with the other three not far behind. Tested compression again with heavier weight oil and the numbers increased, that points to rings.

On top of all that, I went out that night and raced a GMS1 + boltons SS/TC and killed it. I don't know

Are you sure the gauge/tool itself is good?

We tried 2 different compression testers and a leak down kit. All showed massive loss of numbers.

Yeah. It was low across all cylinders which first pointed me to head studs or head gasket. I don't know. I still have yet to tear it down.

This is the last thread I thought I'd see up again, tough break man. I hope it isn't too serious

Thanks man. If it is indeed the rings and cylinders, it will be built up again, and this time even stronger than the last, with the sleeves from hnbracing. I don't know if I'll go with the gapless rings like I did last time, I don't think that was the issue, but maybe a traditional set of rings would be better.

Bigger and stronger is always better. Unless you're not and you're on the receiving end of an unwanted prison love fest.
