Painted Front Fascia Inserts

Since my car is black, the front fascia inserts don't show up well so I was thinking about maybe painting them silver.

As soon as it warms up I'm going to do the same, except I'm going to drill out the holes first.

Front Facia

check my gallery and you will see both a black one and a silver one already done. Be patient and careful when you drill or it will look like hell. Also the side one's are removable but cannot be made functional. Use a needle nose plier and grab the bottom of it to pull loose. Let me know what you think and good luck.

What size bit is best for this job? Do you think the side ones would be better left an open hole? Thanks!

the open hole will technicaly allow more air into the engine bay. But the extra is a amount that is not justifable. Although Barrys looks rather nice. As for time when I ask him id say time consuming. And for the Bit it looks like on his he just used a slightly smaller bit than the hole to leave the sides squared.

Thought about that too. But then you would be forcing everything including water into the filter. My 2nd idea was to add driving/fog lites there but that has not panned out either.
