Reckless driving, cops, school.

I was on my way to school this morning and I was running late..

I pulled out onto the highway and come up to a semi thats going super slow, so i go ahead and pass him. At this point I'm running probably 65 in a 55mph speed limit. I caught up to a white mini van and went ahead and passed them too. So then i'm probably going about 80.. I didnt signal when I passed so maybe thats what made them mad...

Then I turned left onto the highway my schools on and there was a semi turning left, so I waited on it to turn, but there was a truck behind it going straight and he took off like a turtle so i passed him..

All of these passes took place in dotted lines on highways....

Well, next thing I know, when I park at the school, the white mini van comes haulin in and blocks where I'm walking, It was a married couple probably in their 30's... They told me I should just wait here because the sheriff department was on its way. So i just played dumb and said "for what" and they said when I passed them, I almost hit a car head on in the opposite lane...I just said really? and walked in to the school.

So then they march their happy ass into school office, so I just chill in the bathroom until they leave. Then I walked into the office to sign in and the school officer tells me to come to his office. ughh. So I walk in there and he asked me what happen. I just told him I passed the white van that was only going like 48 mph and it wasnt a close call by any means. I also told him "I drive a saturn, its not even fast.." lol All he told me is if he got another confirmation, he could issue me a citation..

Well the truck that I passed was a state department ford ranger... So it's got me kind of worried. Think i'm in the clear?

You'll probably be alright. But going by your story, you need to cool it down a bit with obnoxious passing.

Lol..hurry or not..it's school. No need to risk people's lives to get to school or anything in general on time. Not trying to lecture you, just saying..it sounds like from your pt of view you were making justified passes. Next time you think your pass is justified, look around for an extra 5 seconds before you do it and maybe pass but not pass like you're in a race car. Lol

Had something like this happen to me a couple months ago. I always have my cruise set on 70mph because the speed-limit on the four-lane highway is 65mph. So this Prius pulls out into my lane and am I'm coming up on him, I swing out to pass because he is going so slow. As I pull alongside, he speeds up. So I floor it to pass him as he is aggravating me and when I do, a state trooper crests a hill right in front of me and tags me for 85 in a 65.

Its all hearsay. Unless a troper saw you it don't stick. Now had you been involved in any kind of fenderbender and left.....then they would have you but. Video or picture can be bias if taken from the complaining party. Slow down or you won't live to be old like me :-)

I found out the hard way in my suv that even if you pass a car where your allowed to if you use excessive speed just enough to pass them they can give you a ticket cause I got one lol.I fought it in court and won but still every decent sized city is hurting for funds what better way to get them than tickets.Thats why I signed up for legal shield threw my company they send a lawyer for me in traffic violations.

I understand. I guess I was having a little too much fun when I had the opportunity to pass. I'll have to keep it in mind that my plate and everything is in the record for a call..
