Yellow rotors

I've had my new 2005 RL for almost two weeks now. A dull yellow residue has developed on my front rotors. It doesn't seem to come off very easy. I noticed it today after I washed my car with the Mr. Clean AutoDry. Any ideas as to what this yellow residue is?

I honestly don't think it's rust. I know there was rust on the rotors when I bought it because it had been sitting in the dealer parking lot for a while. That rust eventually wore off. This is something different, that just developed in the last 24 hours or so. I will take it for a spin and see if it wears off. Thanks.

Yeah...when I got mine, major rust. Gone by the time I got home. Now, if I drive then park and don't move it till morning, there's a light film. Might just look different cause it's not as much rust.

If it doesn't come off, make sure to post pics.

from dust to rust. Brake dust is highly magnetic for some reason as well as becuase its super small the surface of the particles degrades/rusts quickly.
