are our cars really that bad?

okay so i just did a random search tonight and came across two srt forums sites talking mad shit about our cars.....

i can't believe that they dog these cars that much not to mention the say our cars are ugly.... are you kidding.... i didn't know whether to get mad or laugh then i remembered they are driving NEONs correct???

I dont want to read those simply because most SRT drivers are like most Cobalt drivers, ignorant. Notice I use the word MOST, not all. Not dissing the cars at all just the market the cars are aimed at, and most of the people that end up driving them. I know about 10 people with srt's and 1 is cool and LittleMT also falls into the cool category. These kids just hate the cars cuz its "A Saturn." I'm sure some of us have come across the kids that think there SS will beat our cars and when told there the same engine they think were lying. Anyone who has hung out at some car shows or some kinda car meet where these "outta the box" tuner cars are at can tell that this bias isnt even based on something concrete, just something that they hear in the high school lunch room.

im not sure if you read one of those guys posts but i believe it was along the lines of "it looks like that car has some sort of half-assed front body kit like you would see on a honda." ok, now if im not mistaken isn't that what dodge did to the neon to get the "SRT-4"??? these guys have no room to say much of anything. i would buy a saturn over a POS neon. also, have you heard that dodge is discontinuing their precious neon?

I have never met a Cobalt SS driver.

If one ever tries to tell me that thier motor and my motor are different. I'm not going to say anything..just slowly walk to my car and pop the hood and point.

On a realistic side note the srt-4 can put down 355hp with all factory parts (stage 3r, mopar exhaust, and turbo toys) and so far all we have to cling on to is the speculated 250hpfrom the stage 2 upgrade. I honestly think that the psi-fi twin charge will be the redlines saving grace, cause as of right now it is too easy to put down major horsepower with an srt-4. They have good reason to talk smack in the horse power department, of course the srt-4 is still a neon, it is still ugly, and it still has about the cheapest interior I have ever seen. Lol, and don't forget the difference in insurance between an srt-2 and a redline! I'm sure there are more than a few snot nosed kids who sell there srt4 after mom and dad quit paying for the insuarance.

Track racing (Solo or Lapping) = Redline Win.

A guys at my Solo II session, after seeing me doing a burnout on the start up to the 3rd gears, asked me what modification I've done on the car, when I said "none" he laught and go away with something like "yeah yeah... stock my ass!"

Also, there's a LOT of difference between our Saturn and the old one... it's a new age for GM!

I started up a friends SRT-4, and i seriously thought i had broke the damn thing. the entire car was rattling.
