Some data charts... Timing and Fuel Injectors

Some misc data if anyone would like to see it.

The timing is two 1st - 2nd gear runs with the stock pulley, and the 3.1" SFPH pulley. Identical at the end of 2nd gear. I have the raw numbers if anyone wants them.

The fuel injectors are a second gear run with the 3.1" pulley. It's reading over 20 at 6300 rpms, which seems a bit impossible maybe the gauge is a little off? I'm gonna do a couple more and see if I get get a smoother, better graph.

why would the pulley advance the timing? I'm still used to timeing my TBI 350 and setting the advance with a gun

What do ya mean? The timing at the end of second gear is the same, that's the one that I'd look at more. First gear is so fast. Once you let your foot off the gas, the timing jumps up as well. Second gear I just let off the gas instead of shifting or anything, so it wouldn't kill the readings.

a quick response to your request. I went to get some diesel fuel for the lawn mower tonight, so I took the Red Line out for a test drive. I hit 21.0 on a WOT 2nd gear run just over 6000 rpm and it stayed there till I bounced the rev limiter. 21.0 ms was max it would read. This validates your readings and what you PM'd me about.

Thanks! That's also telling us that the injectors are hitting about their max, I'm still curious about the above 20 second readings above 6,000 rpms.

I did the same test tonight, as you can see by my chart. Hit 20.9 at about 6k and held it there as well.

I see, nevermind. I'm young but still used to working with oldschool v-8s. Some of the computer stuff confuses me.

What do you mean by hitting their max?

Well, at 6000 rpms, the injectors have 20 ms to get the fuel out. The fact that they're hitting just over 20ms is a little odd, since they shouldn't be able to do that, but allowing the gauge a small degree of error, it's showing the injectors are hitting about max fuel delivery around 6,000 rpms. I'm a little confused though, since they shouldn't be able to be open for 20ms above 6,000 rpms, unless this is the computers way of showing that they're at 100%.
