Gauges did something wierd

Well I turned off the car but the needles on all the gauges didn't go down till about a second after I turned the car off, and when they were going down I heard a kinda grinding sound. It's prob not anything but I just thought I'd post and see if anybody else's has ever done this.

Never happened to me and I've got around 21k.

Well, it hasn't done it again. Guess it was just something goofy.

Was it cold out when this happened? My saturn did it to me when it was cold - just throwing that out there
