Raptor shift light install... help...

okay, we have power, we have it set for 2 cyl mode, but i can not for the life of me get it to read a signal. where the hell is the tach signal wire? i poked and proded through the ecm harnesses and couldnt find one.

pics would be much appreciated!

the tach signal can be picked up off the green and white wire in one of the harnesses with green tape on it. You need to set the raptor to 1 cylinder mode. I know this works cause mine has been working for at least 3 months now. good luck.

shift knob

Did you get a knob on other than stock? How did you get around the reverse lock out?

what green tape? i had teh dash completely stripped, the wiring harnesses torn down, (mental note, need elec tape) and i could not find a damnable green and white wire!, someone hook me up with a picture. and mr photo, wtf are you talking about....

okay, if its in the engine compartment, how do i go about getting through the firewall?

Use the the hole in the firewall behind the brake pedal (I think that is the one most ppl use for almost everything), its just a black gromet (spelling?) with wires running through it. You may have to pull down the carpet a bit though.

i found a hole in there yesterday, but it felt like it was blocked off or something? i tried to stick my finger through it, and a clothes hanger, but it would only go about 1", then stoppage. is it the one thats got like a foam blocker or something?

No idea. I've never done it, but I found the gromet one day cleaning my car.
