Low Brake Fluid Level

In the past month I've had to top off my brake fluid level twice,
anyone else have to do this periodically?

Could it be due to brake wear or just a slow leak? Haven't noticed any leaking anywhere.

It might be brake wear??? Not sure though. Do you brake hard often? If not then I don't think it would be brake wear.

I've noted that my master cylinder resevoir tends to build up dust quickly and has a small amount of residue on the outside of it. Perhaps the cap isn't sealing correctly on these

yeah, I've noticed the residue on mine too, as I wipe it occasionally.

Oh! Here's an issues that i DO have. Mine seems to get low on fluid every other month as well. I guess with the brakes and clutch sharing a single reserve, maybe the level goes down faster as both setups adjust for wear?

I also have the 'stuff' on the outside of the container. I wipe it off weekly or so, might just be leaking out. The cap sure dosen't feel like it seals well.

the dealer tech said that as the fluid heats up, the reservoir cap has to burp and belch once in a while to relieve some pressure, and tends to cause a bit of seepage around the reservoir.

definitely a 'male' design
lol
