Stupid Car and Driver TV!!!!

I don't know if it was a re-run or not, but I JUST turned on the TV, saw that Car and Driver TV was on, so I flipped over, just in time to catch the middle of a review for the Red Line, Cobalt SS, SRT 4-ACR, WRX, and RSX-S.

I missed some of what they said about the Red Line, but basically made it sound like the worst/cheapest car out there, albeit somewhat fast. Made fun of the seats, center mounted gauges (of course, although I never heard any mention of the ladder tach - i might have missed it though), exterior, poor handling, etc... It was in fifth place (out of 5?)

#4: Then they moved to the Cobalt SS, at which point I realized this was a group comarison. They basically said all the same things about the SS, except "at least the gauges are in the right place!" However, here I heard them make a comparison to the lack of performance provided by the Ecotec engine - WHAT?!?!

#3: Then came the SRT 4. They lauded its speed, but blasted its interior/ride/exhaust note.

#2: Of course, when the WRX Impreza came along, the narrator went from COMPLETELY bashing the previous three cars to praising everything about the WRX, with a few very small complaints.

#1: Yeah, the RSX-S won. As soon as it came on the screen, the narrator says something like, "now the RSX may not be the cheapest, and definitely isn't the fastest, but.." I was so pissed. They didn't even have anything that great to say about it, other than they liked the styling and paying a lot for it.

Car and Driver, you can go ahead and pay way more for a expensive, slow, "pretty" car. I'll take the RL.

We've been over this. It was in the, like, September issue of C&D. They even prefaced the article with a "Don't write us, we know we're idiots" comment. But you'd think in a "Cheap Speed" article, the one that was the cheapest vs. the speed that it provided (i.e. the Redline) would've won and the one that was slowest & most expensive (the WRX and the RSX) would've lost.

If you read the article it is very apparent they have something against Saturn as a company. They use 75% of the review to bash Saturn as a whole. To me, they came off very biased.

They're just as gay as C&D. I think the best they could get out of a redline was a 15.3 in the 1/4.
