Arrow shift knob

i'm sure this has been discussed but it's irritating me i'm having a really big issue with my shift knob coming off while i'm shifting. I don't know if this is a common problem or what but is there anything i can do to fix it???

Now this is a real design problem.. This is the 1 thing that is going to break.
Saturn has a TSB for the shifter but most (including me) decided to junk it and go with B&M shifter. The fix is kind of lame....

If you don't want to change it the TSB will take care or it. I got mine done and with the screw through the aluminum top (not the silver looking plastic top) it'll never come off. Metal scre through metal knob onto metal shift column. You don't see anything after they put the top back on.

my knob popped off a while ago. i was going back and forth with the dealership for a while. it took them a month to order in the right "parts". i figured they were just gonna order me a new knob cuz mine was beat but when they finally got the parts they called me in. they told me the process was gonna take 2 hours. and i was like "how does it take 2 hours to put on a knob" then they're like "well we have to replace the shifter assembly" they couldnt just order a knob so they replaced my entire shifter.
stupid yeah but i got a new shifter.

Similar to if you had a problem with a part of your sunroof, they would replace the whole thing. It's time and cost saving in so many ways.

I said before, it's not the shifter that's the problem, it's everything that's attached to it.

If they replace it with the same crappy shift knob its just going to fall off again. They need to recall it and put a completely different shifter on.

they replace it with the same one, but they also do the tsb fix to it, im getting the same thing right now, i also had a broken thing on the shifter, a rubber washer or somthing so they are replacing the whole thing, and then putting the screw in it
