Angry Uncomfortable RECARO's

Hi everyone, Recently I took a trip to Montreal and I found the seats very uncomfortable. I mean I noticed it a bit before on shorter trips, but after this trip I had back pain the next day...and it's not just me. Others who sat next to me experienced the same thing. To me these seats suck....they make noise (passenger side creaking noise), the leather is wrinkled already and the colour is just too blaww.
I contacted GM Canada and they said they never heard of anything before. If I get enough complaints then maybe we can do something about it.

I love these seats. I think they are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in

I've driven from TX to PA and back, that's roughly 1600 miles and 24 hours one way. Any seats are gonna hurt your back from long car rides, it's inevitable. I understand that these may be a little more uncomfortable than others over long periods but still they are some of the best seats available for this application.

Hey I bet someone with a stock Ion would be willing to trade you seats. Try that.

mase, keep in mind, you bought a performance car, with 'performance seats'. The seats aren't made for luxury relaxing, cross country travel, they're made to hold you while you're making a turn, etc...

Everyone who's sat in my seats has commented on how comfortable they are. I love 'em. Longest I've driven on them is about 4 hours. They ended up being more comfortable than the sofas in my dad's Continental, which keep sagging and sagging as you drive.

These type of seats, though, depend a lot on your size. One of my, eh, larger friends could hardly fit in them. But he has like a 45 inch waist (I guess...don't really know) and weighs close to 300. I'm a 30 inch waist and 160 lbs. So no probs there.

One thing I DID notice is I needed to really mess around w/ the seat settings. At first I found them kinda-sorta uncomfortable. Then I lowered the bottom half, and made the back incline a little bit. I sit lower/more reclined than I normally did in my Grand Prix, but it made the seats instantly better to sit on. My GP could adjust the pitch of the bottom half of the seat, the Recaros can't. Thus, I was putting a good amount of pressure on the backs of my thighs, which lowering helped.

But, otherwise, don't know what to tell you.

I think these seats are great for long trips. I've done a couple 10 hour trips straight through with no problems. Other seats in other cars have given me back problems on long trips, but not these ones.

Drove from Chicago to Philadelphia & back 14 hours one way & not one complaint about the seats.
