Talking problem....maybe?

hello all,
Im not too good with cars so i apologize for all the questions, but my RL has 2800 miles on it and its only a month old, whoops. Anyways it seems that when im not on the gas i hear this muffled sound of air almost like a blowoff, but its constant and real low, is that just the blower. Also i know there is mobil1 in it so does that mean i should wait till 5k for a change, what do you guys think. Last two, i mean three. Do any of you guys have an obscene amount of miles on your cars, cause Im a sketch ball about reliability? Is the goofy guys torque brace easy to install and cause all i have is some cheesy stanley tool kit. Last but not least, does anyone know of any good shops to take the RL to in the denver/springs area. Thanks for all the input you guys are great.

-bacon, it makes you cool with the girls.

NOT on the gas? I'd guess back-pressure...the poppa-poppa-poppa sound.
Surprised me at first, as my Grand Prix didn't have an open exhaust setup. It's normal and, I think, an awesome, sporty sound.

I had my oil changed at 3500 miles, but only because I drove it REALLY hard since I bought it. I plan on going a little easier now that I realize I can't beat the crap outta my car all the time

I would definately get your oil changed soon. I did my first one before 1500 and again at 3000 because of new engine break in but I'm anal about that stuff because I'lll probably keep the car for a while.

I'm at almost 30,000 miles and I beat the snot out of it. Anyways I change the oil every 2500 like clock work. The pop sound is the extra 10hp that the gas from our cars give us

No one's said it yet, so I will. If you want, change the oil at 3000 or so, but then listen to the car. It has it's own monitoring system, that bases when you should change the oil on many factors like engine rpms, speed, heat, etc. It uses formulas to figure out, and seems to be pretty reliable to me. For almost 7 quarts of synthetic oil each time, I would want to get my moneys worth.

I am the same way. I wait until the light comes on. The engines now have such tight tolerances that they don't get the same amount of carbon and gas in the oil as old engines did. I wait until the light comes on. When I have changed the oil in it, it really doesn't look that bad. I also change oil in a lot of cars at the shop, and most of the new ones, people wait for the light to come on. I have some that have over 150000 miles on them, and the inside of the engine is as clean as a new one. I think it would be ridiculous to change it any sooner than what the computer says to.
