Wierd Cruise Control Issue

So I was driving last night on the highway with the Cruise Control engaged, running fine.

I pressed the accellerate button on the wheel to bump the set speed up a couple of miles an hour and the car suddenly starts decelerating. The cruise control had completely disengaged.

I tried to set it again, and it would not re-engage at all. I turned the cruise control on and off and tried again, still nothing.

So I pulled over to check the fuses (Two fuses in the passenger compartment) and they were both fine.

When I started the car back up and got back on the highway the cruise control worked like a champ...

WTF?

Anyone had a problem like this?

Happened to ours at random. Simple warranty fix.

it happen to me once i was ajusting it too much, and all of a sudden it got confused and shut down

i had the same problem but mine was insanely bad.. my cruise worked about 50% of the time... (this shows you how sensitve our bcus are) the screwball that installed my weabesto sun roof.. got his power wire from my bcu.. that right there freaked out my bcu causing my cruise to go whacko.. wired it directly of the battery and its been flawless ever since.. took my dealership 4 bcus an odometer and a month to figure it out

I have this happen once in a while when I hold the + button down to speed up, but it never happens when i press it repeadly. So, for example I will just press it 6 times fast to go 6mph faster instead of holding it down.

mine has the 50% inop thing.. never really cared enough to look at it with a tech2 but i'm not really concerned about it.. i normally can't stay in the same gear for more then 10 mins anyway

Same issue. Turned out a dealer-installed security system was wired incorrectly.
