Ive used 101 octane a couple times no dyno numbers but you could defenitely tell that the car was quicker!

I dont understand why you would need higher than 93 since we are not getting knock retard. Race gas is primarily used for keeping race motors from blowing up because higher octane is less explosive and cleaner running.

Around here the highest is 92 octane. I've always used 92 except for one time I had to fill up with 90 because that's all they had. But I'm just curious, has anyone tried running on 87? I'd be willing to use 87 in the winter if it doesn't knock. I know the only reason for using 90 or 92 is to prevent knock; despite what some ricer-roni's think.

im running 87 right now in the winter here In Indy no knock at all hell I might just consider running her on 87 this spring as she seems just as fast on 87 as she does on 93 to me!

Don't be so sure. In the winter, I'd be just as nervous, since while you're getting cooler air, you're also getting more boost. Occasionally, I'm getting what feels like knock around 5500-6k. My Interceptor dosen't show knock, I still havent got it upgraded...

It just depends. If you're well above stock, then yes. However, it does no good to use it, if the car isn't pulling timing, since that's really all that you're using the octane for.
