help - stereo speaker wiring - line out converter

so I have this Stinger SLOC Line Out Converter, and somehow I managed to lose the wiring diagram the same day I bought it! ugh!!

The Stinger site doesn't have any wiring diags to view or download, and they don't seem to respond to email requests.
ugh!

the thing has 5 wires, I'm wondering if they would conform to some kind of industry standard color coding?

white (left front positive?)
white/black (left front negative?)
grey (right front positive?)
grey/black (right front negative?)
brown (ground?)

do those sound like standard color coding of some sort?

it sounds to me like the white and grey wires are negative speaker wires

and the same color with a black stripe is the pos speaker wire.

They are industry standard color codings for speaker wires, and what you have listed is correct. The wires with the black stripes are the negatives. The only company I know of that strayed from this standard is Pioneer, and that was quite a few years back... They have since gone back to the standard color scheme...

The line level adapter can be used on the rear speaker outputs as well... Just to clarify, it doesn't HAVE to go on the front speaker outputs.

Good luck!
