the 06 has arrived

yes it's finally here and i am happy to say she is a bute.... i walk into work today to see a red ion sitting in the front of the shop... as i walk closer i see the rims with the gun metal polish and i start to smerk as i say "that can't be mine it has no wing" but i walk in and my service manger comes out and gives me the keys and says here go take it for a spin... i think i could of droped dead right their... holy crap the car looks awsome... i ordered the aero wing but they are only put on at the dealership and since mine isn't on i'm gunna keep it off and run with a regular trunk in the back.. the car looks so nice without a wing... i'll post pics once i get a chance to take some but i love the car.. it looks so nice and i can't wait to bring it home.. hopefully thursday morning i can pick it up and give it a nice run down.... the comp package is awsome... u can feel the difference with the LSD in and the wheel hop in mine is very little to none at all (mabey they fixed them for the 06) plus my ECU is a lot different then before.. i guess they leaned out the 06's to run closer to 14.7 a/f which means the psi-fi kit might not work for me... but i think i'm making more then 210 at the wheel.. idk yet i'm gunna need more seat time but right now i'm ready to explode... i can't wait to get my baby

you dirty whore i want the damn lsd installed i have the damn thing and no one will put the shit in for me............. i even tried saab. damn it. we cant do it here at the shop cause of the damn tool set needed to do it. but no thats cool for you enjoy

Yeah there are some weird ass tools required for some of those parts. I remember modification of the RL some times turned in to a bitch because of that. If you don't have the tools, a nice swing of the hammer can do miracles sometimes though.

yea the tranny is a very stange one... anyway i got the comp package cause the LSD is awsome and i like the rims... plus i'm also very happy i don't have a wing one it... gives the car a very low pro and smooth look... plus it doesn't scream to cops "PULL ME OVER" which i like a lot... anyway i am gunna try to take pics either today or tommorow and get them up for u guys....

p.s. the grey interior i think looks awsome too... i'm very very happy with the 06's.. i am upset that the little box thing is on the car tho.. the one on the roof for the onstart.... kinda takes away from the rest of the car

Did you order the lsd from gm? Or is it an aftermarket? What was the ticket?

It's red, it's going to scream at the cops no matter what. I will never own a red car again....

I've had a few tense moments driving past cops so far in my car, and I think the silver was a good reason they didn't bite....I'm glad I haven't been pulled over in this thing yet, especially since my points just got dropped on my license and my insurance just went down a lot from it (which it also helps to turn 21 to make it drop a bunch). Watch me get pulled over tomorrow...

Enough for me, congrats on your soon to be new car. Since you regularly sit in each of the models, can you notice if they made the whole center column deal skinnier in the 06s to where you have more room for your legs?
