Thumbs up Blue Red Line owners

I think I remember this being mentioned in a prior thread, but it looks like its official. Based on the information I just saw on the Saturn website, it looks like blue will no longer be available as a color option for the Red Line. The only colors I saw available were Black, Red, and Silver. I'm not sure if maybe it just wasn't a popular color or what. I know that I received many compliments on the Color of my car. Maybe it was a little too blue? The color I thought should've made it in the line-up is the blue below.

Do you think that Black, Red, and Silver are going to remain as the only colors? What other colors do you think should make up the options on the Red Line? I'd personally like to see the Silver replaced with a more gun-metal color, almost like the RSX below

Too bad about the blue going bye-bye. I too, have had tons of compliments about the electric blue paint job. Red was not an option in '04 or I'd have one of them, silver is like driving a spoon, although the gun metal silver is a better choice and black is for people who have nothing better to do than wash a car once every 24 hours. (I had one once - that was enough)

Peeling paint, huh? Haven't heard of that one. I love my blue one. Honestly though, I keep hoping they'll offer the RL in the Orange, but I don't think that'll ever happen. I really liked the '03 orange, but when I found out about the RL, I decided I could live with blue for the RL package. In the end, I really like my car. What will make them even more rare is the fact that the '05s are the Pacific Blue color (like TXRLU) as opposed to the '04 Electric Blue like mine. I don't like the new Recaros either though. The black/grey scheme looks so much cheaper than the blue/black. Oh well. RIP Blue!

Yea the blue is gone. I posted it about a week ago after I got the call from the dealer on my 06 RL order that was supposed to be blue. He told me that Saturn is phasing the pacific blue out of the entire Saturn line, not just the ion. A different blue will be introduced, but not in the RL. Oh well... I now have a red RL on order.
