Common RL Problems?

Ive been looking around for a new car and its either between the Scion tC or ION Redline. How common are these problems with these cars? Like the reversed intercooler wiring, clogged catalytic converters, etc.

I have also looked at the Cobalt SS and asked a similar question, basically they said there are only a few on here with problems while hundreds out there dont't have the problems. You only hear the bad things before the good things.

Its hard to tell if your being sarcastic or not so Im just going to comment anyways. The 06's are far from perfecto. So far Ive had the pulling to the left problem- definitly not torque steer. Cruise control quit working. Car wouldnt start one day so I had to get it towed to dealership, something to do with PCM or some weird stuff. But after all these problems I can still say Im glad I have it

My 04 has been pretty much flawless so far. Did have the intercooler wireing reversed, but that was an easy fix. Never been to the dealer yet since 04. The only problem with mine sometimes is the driver. Oh yeah, mine did pull left slightly, but I adjusted the ride height and it's all good now.

Here's some more threads with info about RL vs. TC: http://www.redlineforums.com/forums/...earchid=159070

I would be willing to bet that the 'pulling left thing' is your tires. when I got new tires, gone, and it was pretty bad before.

I've been having a problem with the car using gas as I drive. I find that every time I go about 250 miles, my damn tank is empty. I have brought this to the dealer several times, even towed it to them three times. Since then, they have filed a restraining order against me and requested that I use another dealer. Lemon, maybe?

Other than that, my 04 is perfect.

Yeah, I have heard that some certian types radial tires will make it pull too. Mine still has the stock donelaps (not for long hopefully), and it rides straight now.

Ive been switching between idea on cars for like 2 weeks, looking into each and every one of them. I really like the RL so hopefully this is the one.

THE only problem with my 05 is that my shift knob came off. but one swift whack it went back on, and is still good. the tc is okay if u want a slow car.
