Unhappy Bad Driver hit my baby

So there we were leaving the parking lot of Sears wen all of a sudden WHAM. An old man backing out of his spot didn't see us leaving and hit us, not only did he hit us he kept pushing as if we weren't there. Well at least the only thing that got hurt was the bumper cover and nothing else. The gentleman was in his late 70's and driving a 99 Acura 3.2 TL. Atleast his insurance is paying for the damages.

RLs are very resistant to damage... I tested the theory out first hand back in July when I got rear ended by a Cadillac Escalade while on a test drive in a black 04 Red Line ION ... I think I may have been the first person to be in an accident in a RL ION....

Once again, proof that after 65 elders should have to take a drivers exam every so many years.

NO F-N SHIT! Once I came out of a store to find some old guy with his front end parked against my front end. I just calmly pulled back a little, checked it out, found it to be fine, & left before I was arrested for assaulting a senior. I see this all the time in my work parking lot. No one knows where the fucking front of their car is. Now that I'm angry, again, I've got another story I have to share. The RL is my 4th Saturn, the other 3 being SCs. With all 3 prev. cars, someone has pulled into one or the other rear quarters. Luckily, they had the plastic panels or it would've been considerable damage instead of just marring the body & popping the plastic wheel well retainers. The best part is that none of the offenders let me know. I hate people...

I agree with you old folks need to take a test every year or so to make sure they are not a threat to others. Lucky for him it was my car and not someones kid. On another not I have to wait another week for my new bumper to arrive, according to my dealer the Saturn warehouse only had 2 extra bumpers for the RL.

There are way too many people elderly and young that you'd think are physically unable to drive. I mean i've seen people barely being able to walk who were young get in a car and drive off. On the other hand i had an elderly customer that had to brace himself on the vehicle to stand up. i couldn't help but think how the hell this guy could even drive since he was so weak physically.

My former 93yr old neighbor, rest his soul, used shoot down his driveway, and just hit the road without stopping. This is when I was a little kid, we used to be waiting for the bus and he would come screaming down the driveway, and just TURN. Lasted all the way up until he did it one day and took out 2 cars, one going each way. Seriously hurt himself, and one of the 2 drivers in the other cars. One of the cars just missed us, sitting in a parked car waiting for the bus. It ended up across out driveway and in the ditch, must have missed us by less than an inch. Do you know that they didn't even take his license??? I think they would now, but if his insurance hadn't dropped him, he would have still been driving.
