So um...Can u live on 50 a week

Ok,

So I want toys for the ion...well some more. So assuming all bills are taken care of except food and gas can u live on 50 a week if your living directly across from school? I'm thinking about getting a job to make me 50 a week. I already have books, car payments, rent and bill money set aside so the I'm left with about 60 a week to live on. If i get a job that goes up to 110 a week which is generours. IF I do this I get:

Home made CA bushings and motor mounts FTW over wheel hop
Full CTI 3" Exhuast
SMS TB
Spec Stage 3 clutch NO LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL ( I mean I want it but I don't think it'll make that much of a difference...well compared to the other stuff)

What u guys think?

Dan

Yea I think you can do it. Just have to set your priorities straight (I'm talking about moding your car of course, lol). I live on about $150 (after all bills are taken care of) a week but I live 15 miles from school and 20 from work. At least $50 of that goes to gas each week and the rest goes to food and spending money.

For two years I lived on $100 a MONTH after rent and all that jazz... However I was on foot and would eat a FREE home cooked meal for dinner every night.

It’s amazing what little you spend when you don’t have a car to maintain.

Ya probably going to have to hold off on paintball this year. One of my MI brothern...want to help me make some CA bushings for like 10 bucks...I'm gonna try to make motor mounts and CA bushings for a bout 30 bucks total. If this works I'll have:

K&N intake
SMS TB
2.7" pulley
Maf-t
42.5lb injectors
Spec Stage 3 clutch
Full 3" CTI exhaust
Solid motor mounts
Solid Control arm bushings
B&M

I feel 300 whp is somewhere in there and low 13s

A steady diet of Ramen and black coffee will shrink that food budget right up!

$50 a week is pushing it though... really... unless you've bought groceries and don't smoke. If you're talking food too... I can't see how. Unless you eat McDonalds once a day...

I'd save the SMS TB for another day... You MIGHT see some gains from it, but the stock TB is good for quite a bit of HP. Do you really need a cluch already or are you just being proactive? If you don't need it yet, I'd push that back and get the flywheel when you can.

I think at least one of those could be pushed back for another day and live a little safer...

If I push the exhaust and the TB back till summer I can get a stage 2+ clutch, flywheel, real motor mounts and CA bushings (not window weld), springs, and window tint. That puts me at 80+ a week. If I drop the springs and tint I'll be over 100. But It'll look goooooood!

My clutch still feels awesome...just being proactive...and I'll have a 4 car garage at school in which to change it. But it would suck to have it go out and not have the money to fix it.

GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!! YOU ARE IN COLLEGE!!! Get your priorities straight. There is no way you are only drinking $50 of alcohol per week, and if so, then you are wasting your time in school. Don't try to tell me you are there for an education.

BTW, I grew up in New Orleans and graduated from LSU. Down here, we party first and then get an education. When people ask me what I graduated in, I usually tell them grain alcohol consumption with a minor in premarital relations.

If you are going to include McDonalds as a staple of your diet, I would recommend investing in some Comprehensive Health Insurance......
