Can you name that car in 2 gears?

I'm stopped at a light when a car pulls next to me. Looked at it long enough to see its sporty, high dollar import. The light changes as he is still moving (maybe 5 mph). I take off normally and notice he has romped on it. My front bumper even with his rear bumper as I go WOT. I glanced at the back of his car to see if I can gauge whether I'm about to get my ass kicked. About all I could see was that it had the lines like an Audi TT but it had a "V6" badge in the upper right corner of his rear end. Anyway I spun for a second before hooking up. At the top of 1st, I was half a car back. Second gear, full-throttle, pulled a car on him so fast I thought he had given up but then heard him shift hard. Anyway I had too little gas to make it to the next station 20 miles down the road so I turned into a station. This race lasted all of maybe 300 feet. About 2 seconds into second gear (55 mph?).

I can't find any pictures of a TT with this V6 badge. Can you name that car?

BTW, this is at 4:00 AM. That's why I had a hard time seeing everything.

I'm confused as to what you're asking. If you saw a TT w/ a 3.2 badge, then it's the 3.2 V6 version of the TT. Never ran one. Just ran a 1.8 T, and pulled on him. Or...was racing an M roadster, at the time, and the TT couldn't keep up.

I imagine the V6 version, with AWD, would be nice off the line.

Maybe you confused it for the new Eclipse? The ass end (quite ugly, IMHO) sorta-kinda resembles the TT.

I didn't see the TT badge. Only the "V6" but couldn't find a picture of a TT with this badge.

It is in fact an Eclipse. I have never seen the newer ones. Now the big question...was he toying with me? I can't imagine I would have jumped so quickly in second but then its possible he let up momentarily until he realized I had gone WOT. How should I do in a real race against this car?

They're tanks, w/ 260 hp. Probably same speed as us. He might've missed his shift?
