Me vs. Audi A4 1.8T

I was driving along more or less minding my own business in a mildly busy part of town. When I'm cruising around town, I don't usually drive that fast, but if I get the chance to open it up to hear the supercharger, I will.

The street that I was on has six lanes, straight and nicely paved. It's a divided road with three lanes each. I was approaching a traffic light and got stuck in the middle lane behind a car. In the left lane and at the front, I spot the Audi 1.8T. Normally, I wouldn't give this type of car a second look, except it had two black guys in it with their ball caps sideways, bumpin' some loud music. The car itself also looked pretty tight. It had shiny rims and nice clean black paint. This car definitely had some presence about it. I kinda hoped that these guys would be good to give me a quick little run.

So, as the light turns green, they leave at a quick enough pace. I was lucky enough that the car in the right lane fell asleep as the light went green. I was able to go switch into the right lane, get around the car in front of me, and then get back into the middle lane to catch up to the Audi. By this point the passenger in the Audi had heard the supercharger and has his head out the window frantically looking around to see what the noise was! As I pulled up beside them they quickly realized it was a Saturn that was causing the whinning racket!!! Once beside them, I heard them punch the gas, so I responded by doing the same. Immediately, I was about 2-3 cars ahead of them and within a couple of seconds I had a good 5-6 cars on them. Luckilly for me, they punched it when I was in second gear at about 4000 rpm.

The next traffic light we hit was red, so I slowed down and they pulled up beside me (as their ABS was kicking on, LOL!). They were both like, "WTF??? Is that supercharged???", "Did it come like that?", "How much boost are you running?" They just couldn't believe how loud the blower was and how hard it pulled on their nice shiny turbocharged Audi!!!

Anyways, not much of a race, but it sure is nice for a couple of guys in an Audi to be all amazed and impressed with my ride. They were asking me so many questions, that by the time the light went green, I hadn't even had the chance to say how much I liked the Audi...

When I got home, I popped the trunk and stared blankly into it. I had forgotten that I had just done groceries, and everything was scattered all over the trunk. Oops! At least I didn't break any eggs!
