05 Mustang GT.....another owner shocked!!!!

Flew by an 05 Mustang GT today. Sweeeeet looking red one.

Anyhow, we met up at the next light and when it turned greeen it was on. He got about a half a car jump on me off the line but never pulled more than about two cars on me.

Next light, we met up again. This time we launched dead even and I ran thru the gears perfectly. He didn't pull but a car and a half on me. I was never further behind him than that.

Next light, he rolls down his window and says, "What the hell do you have in that???" I told him it was an ION Redline and it comes stock with a S/C and all I had was an aftermarket exhaust. He said, "That's nice, man. Real nice."

I said thanks and as the was turning green I told him, "As soon as the aftermarket picks up I'll be able to beat you." He gave me a thumbs up and I did the same.

I also raced a green civic with a primered ground fx kit. He pulled up next to me and I asked him if he had anything in there. He said no, but he'd race me anyway. This race was over before I hit 50 mph. So I slowed down and let him catch up and gave him a thumbs up.

Thanks man.

Yeah, our aftermarket support thus far has really sucked. With SCdyne and Psi-Fi, I have a feeling it's about to get a whole lot better.

Once again, the RL holds its own though, so I can't complain too much I guess.

You'd better hurry up and get yours man. The word is spreading fast about us.

Yea, I pulled up to a friend-of-a-friend's house, and he asked me what model of Ion that was real quick. Knew more than anyone else I've talked to thus far, and he drives trucks.

Talking still a sleeper here

Whenever someone at my school asks me what car I have, I always to explain to them that it's basically a suped up version of the ION. People still have no clue what the hell it is around St. Louis and I get a whole lot of "whoa what kind of car is that" looks.

It was the same way with my SRT-4,
"It's a neon with a turbo" they would just look at me stupid . . . In fact, it is very similar to the way they look at me when I tell them about my S/C'd saturn . . .

At School I got laughed at, till I beat a Modded RSX-S from the my school by a car length and he beat me by half a car. Now, I get a little respect.

lol, yeah I love that "what kinda car is that?" look. when I sport my shades I pretend like I'm not looking at them looking so they stare for longer hehe. When they know that you know you are staring they act like they don't see you. Oh not to "hi-jack" this thread but yesterday I paid $1.00 to get my black plastic valve stem covers for my tires replace with Chrome ones at Discount Tire. I must say I don't know why Saturn put black plastic ones with the alloy wheels on there, big improvement looks-wise
