UM .... I don't really know what your talking about ......

But I've been reading this forum for awhile because I like the RL and a good friend of mine has one, and I just thought it was about time to say a few words ......

I'm also trying to decide weather to offer a line of powder coated items for the RL.

Don't worry you'll see plenty of us out there, the Cobalts and the Ions are gonna be much faster, real soon. So just bring it, or shutup.
I don't see anyone bickering like idiots on here, I just see a GOOD healthy discusion about cars and what they can and can't do ..... you want to see bickering idiots go check out some of the import sites

Honestly I'm pumped about the ION RL and Cobalt because I like to have more American made friends around ......

And yes like I said before there is always going to be someone faster, and I hope to someday see a RL or Cobalt in the 12's or even 11's, that would be sweet.

Hey Sp00ner, Shit [slapping forehead] I just remembered something from a long time ago (remember I'm a senior member here) MOPAR owners have aways been the dullest tools in the toolbox, followed by the Blue Oval crowd. ANytime GM threw their hat in the ring, as soon as aftermarket support came into place, those other wannabes could only dream of the performance that we enjoyed.

BBC & SBC forever. Hoooooo Rah.

Look bro, it's a 'Kill Story', and I pride myself on giving people the actual facts inside the story. Most people would have wrote 3 lines about smoking the shit out of it, without any mention of the advantages they had. There is not one fact that I've left out to make me seem any faster than my car is.

If you don't know why I'm talking about do some more checking, there isn't one post in almost any forum in which someone talk about a neon that isn't followed up by a flurry of SRT owners claiming it's all lies. Hell, you're here answering this story before you can think of doing anything else.

I'm glad you do ALL of your racing/spirited driving on the track, I assume I'll never see any mention from you of doing any kind of racing on the street. Wish I had that willpower, there is only so long that I let someone ride my ass, shoot me mean looks, and laugh about my car when they're driving next to me. I'm hoping that when the track opens here in two weeks I won't be suckered into anymore races like that. However, I was quite excited about the fact that he couldn't catch me. For the record though, I gave him several seconds after he hit his brakes, he got pulled on because he dosen't know that a supercharger dosen't need to spool like his turbo did, not because he was still braking when I took off. Perhaps you missed my strategy in racing comment in there.

Nivo88 also has a nearly 450hp SRT, so yea....

There's no reason in the world that a first year SRT can't get pulled on by a Redline, sorry guys. I've read the numbers, from a street start or dead stop, maybe. There's more torque there. At speeds however, the race is, for all practical purposes, identical.

Accually I was on here responding to a couple RL guys who want some RL rims and parts powder coated.

And I was originally responding to BOOSTED, and agreeing with him about something totaly different than your post. The only reason I responded to your post is the coment you made,

This is the exact quote you made, you didn't say you gave him a few seconds to get on it again.

If you had said something about giving him some kind of chance at all I wouldn't have even given anything you said a second thought. I'm sorry you took it as if I'm a troll looking for a fight, as a matter of fact if you read everything else I wrote it isn't even directed tward you, ( except the raceing in traffic ) but tward the fact that I realy like the RL and enjoy reading about it.

If there is anyone who should be in my face it is the SRT owner that I called his bluff, and his BS about running 22psi on Stage one and blowing the doors off an EVO.

Ok, you keep saying that an "03 for some reason is slower than all other years of the SRT, what is you reasoning on this?

Here are REAL #'s and I have dyno sheets to prove them.

'03 SRT-4 221 WHP
'04 RL 200 WHP

SRT-4 2920 lbs
'04 RL 3120 lbs

If I'm wrong about the weight please correct me, because I remember it was heavier than we thought it would be, but I can't remember if it was 2 or 3 hundred more than mine.

The whp on the redlines range from 200 to 215, the weight as weighed by the SCCA on the Redline was 2890lbs. Now lets look at the chart again.

'03 SRT-4 221
'05 RL 215

SRT-4 2920
Rl 2890

Now, without even getting into the gearing in both, which I believe is higher in the Redline. Please tell me why this is so impossible? They are nearly identical.

You guys are all too touchy man, I pass a million forums a day where people are talking about beating Redline's with Honda Civics even, I don't even bother with 'em. I know better. You just came in on the tail end of those morons from two days ago, I was still all wound up from them.

As traffic was thinning out near the end of the interstate, I see him coming hard. It dosen't take a genius to know that if I mash the gas and take off into the clear lanes, he gonna blow past me since he's already going 30mph faster than me. So I make him run right up on my ass, now I've been planning this meeting for a while now. I held the car at 70mph, just right for the 5th-3rd downshift and max boost. The instant he lets up to stop from hitting me, BAM, it's on! Strategy can pay dividends! His, now unspooled turbo, and my always ready supercharger. I know that he had 2 other people, but I pulled away from him steady, and faster than I thought. Maybe it was an older one? He got killed bad, true it wasn't a line up and race, but after about a car length or so some traffic came up, and that's where his real problem came. This thing looked like a roller skate in my rearview, I could see the car rolling all over the place while he was trying to cut through traffic, and then locked his brakes up HARD, enough for me to see smoke from 3-4 car lengths, before skidding into the emergency lane to avoid traffic. Maybe he was a real bad driver, but he only needed one shift and some turning, maybe that's too hard for some people.

I guess dent resistant doors add 7 miles per hour to your trap speed
