So after I leave the track yesterday headed back to chicago, I'm driving pretty calm, minding my business, thinking about the starter. Lo and behold I see a car coming up rather quickly on me, with the tech sticker from the race I just left in the window. Flies past me, slows down, so I ease into the gas a bit, and so does he. I know he's doing it because of the 'high pitched rasping noise that seemed to get worse on each lap'. I could hear it clearly when he floored it 2 seconds later, so I put it down and dropped 3 -4 cars on him from 3 cars back in about 2,000 rpms...

It was a reddish Nissan Sentra...

The happened about 5 more time between Rockford and Chicago...

LOL, I think he just wanted to see the car go.

Like this 96 Eclipse N/A that tried to race me from a roll. I whooped him badly. He was shaking his head and lifting his hands up in the air after as in saying , there is nothing I can do. He asked what was in the car. I told him 2.0 s/c he said he knew he'd lose before racing me but wanted to try anyways.

There's an inside to this, this guy was all over the course during practice. There was a point where I was behind him, and a Corvette was behind me, all trying to get around him. Corner workers were flagging him, and you're supposed to wait for the person to signal 'pass' to you, and them you pass, they are supposed to lift so you can complete the pass. You can only pass in one spot during practice. Instead, this guy swerved into the middle of the track like it was a street race and I had to shoot way wide. Dunno what he was trying to prove, it wasn't even a new Sentra, it was one of the really little older SE-Rs... I put 4 cars on him even after his block attempt. The girl driving the Vette behind me almost went after him in the pit area after the 3rd lap of practice.

Funny about the Eclipse though, I'm having to drive my girl's 98 N/A GS auto right now... there really is NOTHING he could have done!

Spooner you've got to quit picking on the sentra's, pretty soon we'll have nissan poeple all over this site, & there speedometers only go to like 90mph. And w/ a magnaflo muffler they will damn near reach 80mph. And i'm not even going to get into the kragens alluminum wing.

I can't believe the car lasted all day? I used to have a Ford Escort that sounded like that after I dropped all the oil out of it, lol
