First off, dan.SPEC & 2.5" pulley FTW!!!

OK, we're out after installing the 60#ers and 2.5" pulley, cool night but just got done running an SS/SC with I/H/E and 2.5" pulley about 5 or 6 WOT runs to ~150mph. Heat soak setting in, we decided to head back for a while. Sure enough, I come up to a silver Evo IX in the right lane. I don't have an exhaust or intake, so my car still sounds mainly stock. I couldn't get him to play. Jump a car or so in front of him and just cruise back. Next thing we remember is hearing the turbo spool up, thinking he's finally gonna line up with me, so I slow to match speed... He does a flyby and I said no way, downshift and punch it. He's probably got 20mph and a car and a half on me already. I thought I was done, then I start creeping closer and closer, all the way to his back bumper. Light turns yellow ahead, it looks like he's gonna stop so I slow down. He flies through the redlight and leave me behind. If we had lined up next to each other, I would have been been ahead the whole time and pulling... not too sure what mods he had done (heard a killer BOV and nice exhaust, assuming at least an intake also), but I am so happy. I wanna catch one before heatsoak and see what I can do...

Next mod - anything to get me some attention Stock exhaust, stock intake, no wing = perfect sleeper but no fun

Yea that was fun. "Hey look its a lancer... Wait thats an Evo" He didn't know what to think of the little saturn revving at him. Then as we stop, Dave goes flying through the redlight after him, lol.

We saw that evo 3 times again last night, but he refuses to acknowledge me.
He was hanging out with the blue STI. I even followed them into the Primani Bros parking lot. They probably think I'm stalking them, which I guess I kinda am. I'm hoping they are at the car show today at Texas Roadhouse. You coming out for that?

No, doesn't look like I'll be out for that tonight, but I'll be down in the area tomorrow for sure. Need to get some more good runs to see where my limit should be

EDIT: I need to see if the stock airbox isn't allowing me to hit anything higher than 17.8psi... If the k&n will let me hit 20-21psi, I'll gladly order it and have them overnight it cause that should net ~10-15hp (if +1psi is still around 8 hp). Don't think the boost bypass will work because my car doesnt seem to bleed boost anymore thanks to dan.SPEC!!!

Yeah, your only bleeding boost in 1st now. I know before my cat delete I was seeing 20-21 PSI on a cool night so the intake would help you.

I think the clutch finally cooled back down yesterday after I let the gf drive She was having way too much fun. It's a lot easier for her to drive w/o boost in 1st gear!

EVO's w/ stock MAF + bov = slow

They run dog rich between shifts like 9 A/F's

If you have an '04 you're still bleeding boost... if you get above 256 kPa of boost... Funny enough, there seems to be a rash of 2.5's and 2.6's hitting 17.8 psi... seems to me that you've reached the boost limit again...
