Mercedes E55 AMG even up to 130

Driving through the desert Sunday doing about 70 pacing a semi in the next lane when this car runs up my ass so close I couldn't see the hood. He pissed me off so I stayed next to the semi for about a 1/2 mile. I hate a$$holes like this. I'll usually move over (or speed up) any time I see some one coming up on me. But I'll be the biggest dick to anyone that comes up that close on me.

Anyway after 1/2 mile or so of f'n with him I pull passed the semi and let him by once he's about even with me I drop into 3rd and floor it. I had 1/2 car length on him when I did it and kept it that way until I hear the sun roof start to whistle at me and realized I'm and doing 130. I backed out of it and let him go that's when I seen the rear of the car and knew what it was. I don't know $hit about the car except we were pretty even up until I backed out of it.

The funny thing was I ran into traffic about 2 miles later and pulled up along side him to give the nod and he wouldn't even look at me. Must have been embarrassed he couldn't outrun my little car. BTW me, the semi and him were the only ones in sight when all this went down I don't normally run around at 130

An e55 is a supercharged v8. If he wanted to try he would have spanked you with his eyes closed. I've driven them. We would have no chance unless you have serious mods.

Yeah, he must have been playing with me. But we were dead even from 70-130 .

I just looked up the cars specs and reviews and based on what I read I doubt most of us could take one. But I like to think I did.

i was chilling at a light putting my roof down after work the light hits green and a subie flys by my, i punch it, hit 2nd perfectly and i catch up pretty quick then it merges into one lane so i get off it and let him go.

afterword i was sooo mad he cought me off gaurd so i followed him and we had a 47 mph roll and he wouldnt bite.. i even did i 2nd gear drop next to him with his windows down and he would look and as i flew by him he seemed to go even slower. so i paced him about 2 mins and NOTHING.

i guess he felt he won so no need to mess with a Saturn.

its for the better he didnt bite anyway, street racings bad.

he is definatly the one laughing. he was playing with you. They are faster then any vette (except the new Z06), faster then any cobra (except the new GT500). Faster then any M3 or M5. Faster then most porsche's.

The current gen E55 is a rocket.

unless it was like an 99 till 02 they weren't supercharged and only had 400 horspower, still pretty impressive if you ask me tho, they only run 13's so it might've been pretty even

I have no idea what year it was but I do think it was an older one since I can't imagine he f'ed with me after I held him up for so long he was pushing the issue and looked pissed. From what I understand the really fast ones (ie newer) have dual tiped dual exhaust and I don't remember seeing the dual tips. for now I'll live in my little fantasy world thinking I ran with him.

all of the e55's, even the N/A ones had the dual/dual exhaust (a pair on each side, like a new m3 or m5), actually I can't think of an (2000+) amg that doesn't have the dual/dual. sl55, sl65, cls55, cl55, ml55, s55, s65, clk55, i am sure I am forgetting some, all have it, all of them are fast as balls. besides the sl65 (6.0L V12 twin turbo, 600+ hp), i would rather the e55.
