G35

I was first in a left turn lane turning onto a 4 lane street. A silver G35 coupe with exhaust pulls up behind me and revs. I get the arrow and swing into the outside lane to let him into the inside, I was goin real slow, ~20mph so we could line it up. About 3/4 of the way through the turn he just got on it, so I was like wtf and chased, but from the start he had on me he pulled the whole way. At about 100mph he let off and so did I.. he slowed to about 40 as I was catching up to him... I shift to 2nd and start to creep on him, trying again to line up with him and maybe go from honks this time. By the time I got to his passenger door, he takes off again! I chased again. It was closer this time, but he was still pulling a bit the whole time. So never really got a clean race off, as he stole the hit bigtime both times, but to his credit he was still pulling away through third. I gave him thumbs up and he smiled and waved. Moral of the story, even though it would probably be a decent race from a fair start, those things have some serious balls.

I have beaten a Z, on the track, and I was all stock except for the K&N CAI + Slicks. I ran a 15.0 and he ran a 15.5, his best of the day was a 15.1. It was a really hot track day though. The Ambient temps were at 140* (according to Mgm1979's interceptor), for the day so noone was doing spectacular, except for the methanol injection people. I wonder what the IAT2 temps could have been that day, possilby 200*+. Talk about pulling timing!

Good run for being stock! We have a G35 coupe here...twin turbo, complaining about only making 450rwhp...never completely built the engine though...
