Honda Civic and the SAME CTS-V from last time...

I was heading home from getting something to drink..minding my own and taking it easy when a LOUD Honda came ripping by me (I was in a 40 zone doing 45ish..he had to be doing 70+) then slammed on his brakes and just stopped in the middle of the road (two lanes on each side). When I passed I heard him hit it again and take off..dropped it into 2nd and waited for him to get within a carlength of me before I floored it. He got up to my suicide doors before falling back like he had hit his brakes again (though he hadn't)..after that he wouldn't pull back up next to me. We caught the next red light and he stayed maybe 4 feet back from my window..kinda made me sad.

I continued on my merry way when once again I saw headlights flying up on me..though as it got closer I already knew it wasn't the Honda again (He was waaaaaaaayyyy back there even though I took off normal for me). The only thing that caught my eye at first was the V badge, then the guy waving and motioning for me to follow him. We pulled into a gas station a bit further up and talked for a little while (the Honda flew by and revved while we were chatting). He had an exhaust and a filter, but other than that was all stock. He said he wasn't sure if it was me or not because last time we ran into each other I had the wing on my car. We left and played around a little bit, each time having the same results with me pulling a bit on him, then shutting down.

Cliff notes for those too lazy: Civic DX did a fly by, Civic attempted 2nd fly by and was shut down, Civic wouldn't socialize at light, CTS-V rushed me, talked to CTS-V owner, and finally played around with CTS-V with me pulling a bit.

I really enjoy seeing you pulling on a CTS-V. I saw a horrible sight tonight, it was a V that had been stripped and the engine was gone and it just hurt my eyes to see. Couldn't tell if it was a break in or just a parts vehicle, but it was sitting at a dealership.

Side question: Do you run the General Exclaim's at the track? If so, thats hands down my next tire. I'm gonna need some next year, I seem to have torn up the ones that Spike gave me.

Dude..I beat the shit out of these Generals..didn't you look at them last time? There's NO tread left..that's why I need to buy the ones from Omega.. IMO there are stickier tires out there (I'm getting KDW's for straight drag/street tires in the spring), but these did what I needed them to do.

Well, I'll be wanting a good all around tire, since I don't have the cash for dr's or slicks yet, so something that holds up well and will still make really nice passes at the strip would be ideal. How long did you have the Generals?

LOL, ok, I would hope to get more than a few MONTHS of life out of my tires...

If I'm at the drags frequently next year, however, I may not be able to. I think DRs and light front wheels are on the agenda for next year.
