Finally some validation. SRT-4

Ok since I got my stage 2 all I've raced is morons in trucks. Since I put my 2.8 I've had a few problems and no races.

Tonight I was on my way back from my folks and I decided to take the long way home and see if I could have some fun. Sure enough by the time I was almost all the way home I see some roundish headlights in my rearview. SRT-4! He got around me once traffic cleared and took off. I followed suit when the light ahead of us went yellow. We both started to slow with him way ahead of me. Light went insta green and he took off again. I followed at first but knowing the road and how it curves I shut down after 2nd.

We got another light together at which point I rolled down and complimented his car. I love SRTs and they're what got me into fast domestics even though I never owned one. Guy complimented me back and told me wasn't doing to bad keeping up. I told him my mods and he said he had a intake/ exhaust. Light changed green and I made sure he saw it then I went... He didn't follow.

We caught ANOTHER light. I wondered what was up and he said "Dude any gear but first! My clutch is goo!" I know his pain since my clutch acts a damn fool sometimes, so I agreed. Light turned green and we both babied it away from the light... Still in first we both took off at the exact same time and I put an instant car and a half on him.

He didn't gain any ground and I slowly started to pull some more, when I heard him shift into 3rd... Awesome sounding BOV (maybe he had more then intake/exhaust?)... This kinda made me panic because I've done dumb shit before (ie not shift) so I looked at my tach... only at 6400 LOL! Took her all the way to 7k and still rev limited a bit. Woulda probably put 2 cars on him but I pinged the limiter.

I shut down close to ending out 3rd and he handn't gained any ground.

I gave dude a salute but I don't know if he saw it as he flipped a U-turn. Cool dude and an awesome run

I am VERY happy since an SRT was my dream car and I managed to make my RL into one that can beat an SRT.

Later all!

Hehe thanks man. Since you're an SRT guy what would a intake/exhaust SRT put down? 1/4 wise? Power wise? I know they own us stock for stock (barring driver error) but I pulled on this one no prob when we actually lined up.

Intake does nothing.... exhaust, depending on if they also get a bigger o2, might not do anything either since it still has a bottle neck with the stock o2
