Walked by CRX

Yup. Sure was. Guy in an older CRX walked me.

Same old -- doing laps in the tunnels, looking for a race. Guy comes scooting up, waves, I give three honks.

Bye, Honda. Cept I watched HIM go. Talk about a sleeper...no body kit, classy 16"s. I'd gauge him at a low 12 second car. Caught up at end of the tunnel, but we couldn't stop. HE told ME good job, that he murders most people. I asked what he had done, and only caught weight reduction (looked like a gutted interior) and swap. I did hear his cams switching over (surprisingly, as my s/c was screaming) at high RPM, so I wonder if he had the older 2.0 from the Teg-R or the like.

Either way, major props to that guy...

i liked how people make fun of the hondas on here saying there not fast as you explained it its easy to do with there line up of endless mods... f-in imports...lol btw the teg-r had a 1.8 195hp motor in it him ruunin 12s not stock at all...lol a 2.2 would be the guess unless a 1.6/1.8 motor had a sc or turbo setup... any bov sound? you are not goin to hear the turbo with a fart can on the back just the main things to look for boost gauge, or bov sound... nice death anyways atleast you man up to gettin killed have fun.

No BOV sound, far as I know. His engine was screaming though. I've only heard a Teg Type-R @ Auto-X and the strip, so I only recognize that engine as the VTEC switch-over is distinct. Nice exhaust note, too. Other than that, way too many combos of Honda motors for me to keep track of.

He may have been boosted. Betcha any money he weighed ~2000 lbs if not less. Tiny car. Just a driver and passenger seat, and not much else. He did have a gauge pod, though.

And don't point the finger at me. I respect all cars, long as the driver is cool. Like the tC who tried me the other night, and I crushed him. He asked about my car, instead of flying-by. I make fun of drivers, not cars...and this dude's CRX was kickin...

Nice race...

I have yet to really get into a good race...maybe I should start running through the tunnels.

Heck, I have nothing to do tonight...maybe I will head out...lol

Yeah....all fast hondas are turbo or supercharged

Ever hear of nitrous? It's pretty common around here. Toss a 75 shot in a B16 swapped hatch, and they can eat you alive.

BTW my first lesson of be afraid of sleepers was a primered CRX.

I had only had my car for like 2 weeks. He saw me coming a mile away and knew he wanted some. We were going to line up and a car got in front of me. He took off anyway and that thing moved away scary quick. I so didn't want to race him after that.

Ran into the guy once or twice since then and he's super cool.

dude i been in hondas longer than you have been poopin in the toilet...

i had a 13sec teg gsr no nos

fullthrottle i use to make adapterplates so the h22 will bolt up to a b18tranny no probs. the motor only weights in 55lbs more than a b18c1 so its not much more weight apposed to the stock motor yeah. the adapter plates aluminum so it may add 25lbs??? dont know. some sscc<--? champ is located here for auto-x shes in a bone stock crx si. she corners like mad no swap though...

to get that crx in the 12 sec with no boost no nos is not a prob.. b18c1 w/ cams, intake, exhaust, cam gears, higher comp. pistons, bigger inj, fuel pressure up a bit a correct tune not a problem in my eyes i respect the hondas exept when they do a fly by but that goes for anycar.
