confused bmw

alright i dont know exactly what bmw it was but it looke about like a 99 black debaged lowered with rims. i was just cruisin down the freeway and i see the hid s in the rear view come up at a decent rate of speed. he pops up next to me in his fancy little two door shiney ass black bmw as im in full carhartt gear with the country music blaring and the windows down smoking. so he sets to my pace then drops down and goes so do i. I grabbed third not expecting him to go so he already had a half a car length on me i grab fourth and were almost even top of fourth i miss shift and finally grab fifth buy now im a car length a head. at 130 i shut down this is heavy traffic and stators are dicks up here any way im sure the driver was confused that the silver saturn was slowly pulling on him at 130 any ideas what kinda bmw it could have been

Black two door BMW with HIDs...hmmmmm...that narrows it down a bit.

i know he had after market tail lights too. i was suprised at how well he kept up though

I'm not super keen on BMWs, but I would guess an E36 M3?
I'm sure someone on here knows BMWs fairly well...

I would agree, they run 14.1@97 or so with a perfect driver when new, so maybe he had a few little mods.

you probably didnt pull on a m3... but anything can happen on the street i mean freeway.

A stock 99 E36 M3 isn't all that fast, i think when the redline first came out there was a vid of one racing an E36 M3 and it was a dead even race, but that was like 2 or so years ago.

Are you kidding me? Older M3s are only rated at 240hp at the crank!

I the guy had aftermarket tail lights on an M3, he obviously doesn't respect his BMW that much!
