Talon tsi vs itself

Track is going to be closed tomorrow so I got the next best thing.
A video of my car doing a nice full pass.

I had 100lbs of shit (tools, parts and junk). And my buddy weighs a little over 200lbs. So 300lbs of extra weight.

It's a 0-115 mph exactly. That's the end of my 4th gear. Happens at 12.7 seconds in the video. Oh and a 3.8 seconds 0-60mph. Which happens a little before the end of my 2nd gear.

I beat the shit out of the car all night. Didn't film much of it tho. The 1st pass I did was nearly perfect. Got so many props people where screaming " that car is fucking sick after seeing the car from a roll ( french version of this, remember I'm in quebec). Then I love to tell them it's even more impressive on the launch. 5000 rpm rev 2 step kicks in . bam 3.8 secs later I'm at 60 mph. lol.

enjoy: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...15773&hl=en-CA

What exactly was that video supposed to show? It was a video of a car accelerating but it really showed nothing. I think the problem here is this, people doubt you because you spit out numbers that are just what you "think" the car will run. I don't care if you have a G-Tech or a speed gun or what. Until you go to the track and get a time slip people will doubt you. And sure you might not be a liar, but its a shame because 95 percent of the time people have talked to me about how fast their cars are turned out to be totally untrue when they ended up running them. 12.7? sure maybe, but also just as likely that it runs a 13.5. The internet is filled with so many people who have cars that should or can run this or that but never take them to the track, until you take your car to the track you can NEVER say for sure or accurately what it runs.

LOL, it's an easy 12 second car. You can make a quick check yourself with the video. Check, the time when I launch (you can hear it go) then check the time just before the shift to 3rd gear (end of 2nd). This gives you a good idea of my 0-60 mph. Now just hear the damn thing go through the gears. The shift to 4th gear happens at about 95-97 mph. End of 4th is 115mph at around 7K rpm.

Check the gear ratio of the car if you need to. The only thing you need to trust me on is if it was a straight road. It was and you can actually see the cars on the freeway so it tells you it's a pretty straight road.

This cars makes new accord V6 look like they haven't even tried racing. It puts the redline to shame from a roll, and demolish it from a standstill.

Did you hear it spin all through 1st gear ? And did you noticed how quickly I'm in 3rd gear ? Really you should start saying sorry for doubting me right now.

After that post i doubt you even more. You do realize how fast tenths of a second go by right? There is no way in hell you can tell exactly how fast a car is by watching a video or trying to time it by counting, is this some kind of joke? My friend has a turbo laser and he has no problem at all spinning all the way through first gear, he ran a 15.0@95mph, like i said before there is no way you can tell without a time slip, you can try to convice us all you want, but you don't know that you own a 12 second car and you can't prove that until you take it to the track. Hell people run almost a half second different from one track to another from one day to another, depending on temps and how the car is running. I am sure your car is fast, and im sure in your head you think it runs 12s, but do us all a favor and how about you say, " i think my car can run 12s, but until i actually run it i can't be entirely sure" that would be the reasonable thing to say.
