Not all talk, a lot of walk Talon hits 12s...g-tech matches the track's time

So the G-tech is no good, can't count on it ...bla bla. Who's lauging now.
Please don't close this Spoon, I want to see what she has to say. Maybe this will serve a lesson to be careful who you call BS on.
I have all the slips. G-tech was right on it. I took a pic of it twice just to prove it matches the time. Mph was higher by 3 each time since it measures actual MPH at the traps.

Best two passes:
1- 12.54 @ 113 mph 1.766 60 foot...Alone
2- 12.58 @ 111 mph with my GF as a passenger (Add 135lbs)

Then
3- 12.60 @ 112.3 mph 1.75 60 foot
4- 12.61@111mph 1.689 60 foot with my GF as a passenger Poor turboed RSX...I mean it was a massacre. He ran 13.7 @ 105.8mph, he was 2 bus lengths behind me.
5- 12.71 @ 111.8 mph 1.78 60 foot
6-12.71 @ 111.5mph 1.76 60 foot

List of kills tonight:
Highly modified WRX
Modified 240sx (silva imitation, turbo)
RSX-S turbocharged
2004 Mustang GTmodified, ran 13.7 @ 105mph.
2005 BMW M3 (let off at 60 mph when it saw how bad it was for him already) good choice.

Cars that were at the track but shat in the their pants not wanting to line up or raced only their buddies. Modified 2005 Mustang GTs (3 of them). None under 13 seconds. A Skyline GTR that ran a best of 13.3 but average of 13.9. Bonneville SS, slow. Integra that was slow as crap too. a bunch of slow cars like the Fusion V6 and others I forgot about.

Slip, see attachment.
G-tech says 12.64 @ 114mph
Slip says 12.619 @ 111mph

Video proof:

http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...30719&hl=en-CA

On another pass G-tech says 12.71 @ 114.6mph
Slip says 12.71 @ 111.5

All others are the same, withing .05. That is damn close.

Talon runs 12.5s and 12.6 all night long with no track prep.

It proved to me it was a bit faster than I expected. It's good for low 12s or even a 12.0 with a track treated with VHT in a sunny day. Not bad for a tiny turbo like a 16G on winter tires. All this on 94 octane with some timing being pulled because I had ping up top. This is why MPH isn't too hot. But 113 mph in a car that weighs 3400lbs with me in it...not bad.

Maybay I think he would be still low 13s just because he can't launch it like I do yet. The car hooks up something fierce. THe track was cold no prep everybody going sideways, myself too on the 1st try. Then I lowered my launch rpm. ON a good traction day my car will run low 12s. It even suprised me.

Here is the vid for the 12.54@113mph pass. Modified WRX = owned

My G-Tech was pretty accurate also. You just have to be exact with the weight of the vehicle and try not to spin the tires ...

I say congrats to you and tip my hat to you...

You said it was a 12 second car and backed that up with ET slips, that I can respect.

again very impressive to say the least.... I didn't find the G Tech to be close to this accurate when I did try one several years back...

I still put more stock into the ET slips which are just more credible, you went out and got it done, and now without a doubt, the car ran a solid 12.

And it sounds like much more is left in the car especially with some race fuel.

I will say for whatever its worth, you have impressed the HepKitty! And that isn't a easy thing to do...

Now about those 1.7 60fts...

Not to shabby.....!

Thanks !
Yeah and one 1.689 lol.
I'm positive with VHT and some Sun this will hit 1.6s regularly and occasional 1.5s. That's on winter tires. Can't wait to slap some drag radials or at least some Falkens on it. Another thing that impressed me of the car. Damn it makes good mileage. I had to run with almost half a tank of gas. This place is 3:30 min from my house and I left with 3/4 of a tank. WTF lol that's like over 35 miles per us gallon, better than stock.

I reached the limit for 94 octane with that puny turbo I've got. the Restriction in the turbine at 23 psi is causing a backup and causes detonation. Race fuel would fix that and net me a few mph and a few tenths at least.

I don't know the dude from Adam... but I've already learned that he's not gonna open his mouth till he knows he's right...

I will likely be contacting lancer to see how he set up to Gtech. For the record as LokelYokel said. This is two times I've seen a gtech in 'person' match within a couple of hunderth to thousandths off...

A tool is only as effective as the person using it.

Good job once again lancer...

I just level it on the windshield..as low as possible. Make sure the cord isn't too tight because if it pulls on g-tech, it won't be as accurate. Also make sure the g-tech is straight facing towards the rear of the car. Because some people may have it towards the driver and that will make it less accurate.

That's for the HP rating, which I found be very close to a Dynojet reading. You have the weight the car on a scale then add your weight. A lot of people think the sticker on the door is the weight of the car, wrong. That's the Gross weight. You need the curb weight of the car which is about 800lbs less usually.

I tested many stock cars with the g-tech and most automatic cars gives a 20% lower reading that Advertised HP. Most 5 speed car has about a 10-20% lower HP. So it's comparable to dynojet and very repeateable.
