98+ LS1 T/A and 98+ LS1 C5 Vette.

T/A:

From what i could tell all he had was exhaust and some wheels and it was lowered a little.

from a roll off of a light i had about a cars length on him.... untill i made a dipshit move and hit the rev limiter in 1st gear, he pulled past me, i got it inot 2nd and held at his rear bumper... cool guy, he gave me the thumbs up and went on his way, im guessing it was an automatic because he had a cup of coffe in his hand the whole race lol.

Vette:

From a dig we were about even through first, he had a car on me by second and about a car and a half by 3rd... cool guy also... he gave me a nod and tore off like he was night rider lol. i was supprised that he didnt completely rip my paint off lol. some stupid faggot in a red celica GT gave me the ricer flyby after that race, giving me the look like "Ill smoke joo foo" i wanted to run him down and make him look like a bitch... wifey was in the car tho and wasnt havin it after the vette.

You met up with two people that didnt know how to drive. No way your beating an LS1 anything from a dig, or even a sub 40MPh roll. I know the Automatic TA's were a bit slower, but they were still high 13 second cars. Chalk that one up to drivers mods. As far as the Vette goes, they were low 13 second cars, even with the Auto's. My dad dynoed 318RWHP in his car with nothing but a catback and a cold air lid.

You had fun though, thats the important part. I know my wife shit her pance the first time I got on the car against someone. Granted the car was a nobody, but she still couldnt believe it.....

LOL the ignorance of some people.

1: I live over 6000ft above sea level, N/A anything completely dies up here.
2: driver has nothing to do with an auto so your statement is blown waaaaay out of the water there.

at this altitude LS1 Auto T/A's usualy run between a 14.7 and 15.0 in stock form... im running a 2.8" pulley and when stock i was runnin pretty close (about a car behind in the 1/4) with my buddy's LT1 T/A thats well modded, he usualy runs doors with stock LS1's, after the pulley i can usualy pull on him from a 40+ roll by a little.

and trust me i know what vettes run, i used to drive a black 98 C5 with a custom full, header back, exhaust setup, Carbon fiber CAI and a hypertech power programmer 3. i loved that car, it wasnt mine but it might as well been... my ex brother in law owned it and he lost his license right before he bought it so i got to drive it alot, he used to throw me the keyes and tell me to take it for the weekend.

I disagree with that statement, and your an idiot for making it the way you made it. Shure you dont have to shift, but you stilll cant just floor it off the line in some cars, the last V8 car I drove being one of them. It would just sit there if you did that.......automatic and all, there was still a shit load of driver skill involved.

I didnt know you lived up that high, all you have to say is that you did. Dont see the point of calling people ignorant not like I was bashing you, just saying some people dont know how to drive. So you can take your ignorance of some people statment and shove it up your ass. Thank you , please drive through!

Oh no its definetly possible. I actually had a slighly better track time then my old mans TA last time at the track. A wins a win, all I was saying is the drivers in the other two cars, well the TA atleast, were definetly sub par. My old mans times were definetly sub par, first time at the track. He was only cutting 2.4 60's. As soon as he gets that down to 1.9'-2.1 like most of them run, he will be netting mid 13's easily. Turning his traction control off probably would have helped him too.
