SR20 Swapped 240sx gets burrrrned!

Yup, ran into one lastnight, i dont know what mods he had but i could tell he did have at least exhaust on the thing.

from a 40 roll i downshifted into 2nd gear and the tires broke loose, i pretty mutch had no traction through most of 2nd gear but i was still holdin him off at my 1/4 panel, once i hooked up before the 2-3 shift and onto the top of 3rd gear i put a couple of car lengths on him, i was very supprised to take him, he pulled up next to me at the next light and complimented my car, i told him i liked his car too and then went home. cool guy, i wouldnt mind runnin into him again and tryin it from a dig. damn cold ass streets here, i seriously had NO traction from 40mph and all through most of 2nd gear. My car never did that before... i think when the battery died the computer reset itself when i jumped the battery, it runs better, faster and stronger and its getting better gas milage. is there anyway the computer reset itself and is now running a better map to support the smaller pulley? because before i jumped the battery it was running pig rich.

Yeah, thats why alot suggest you unhook your battery after you ad a power mod so that the computer goes into a faster learn mode since it has essentially been reset.

Naw... the whole reset thing happened before the focus... tho i do think i could have had a better launch, i babied it through 1st gear and only launched at like 1500rpm. i could get a better launch at 2500rpm with a little clutch feather.

Its ok tho because the next time i run into him im gonna have quite a bit more done... like full bolt on's and hopefully a tune.
