pos redline vs. mazdaspeed3

i actually talked to a good friend of mine a few days ago about this and he said it would be close because i had a guy from work talking shit about his (turned out it wasnt even a speed 3) and i didnt know anything about these cars but anyway!

so i pull onto interstate 4 from work and im driving along and i see projectors coming up on me so im interested and he passes me (and of course its a mazda speed 3 hatch) and i guess he liked what he saw because as soon as he passed he slowed. so he motions to go and i yelled sure.

sure enough this car is no slouch. he did the beep thing and left faster than i so he pulled about a 1/2 car and it was just identical no one pulled and we went to about 90 like that from 65

so after some traffic we decide to go again and this time from 60 i get a bit of a jump on him and again its dead locked race i was about a 1/2 car on him but his 3rd gear im guessing he was in was alot shorter then mine and he had to shift i pulled about 2 cars on him shifted into 4th and he couldnt keep up til about 115, i kept pulling.
all in all this would be one hell of a drivers race from a dig or track.

oh and btw i have no idea if he had any mods... would he be able to keep up with me stock? i dunno anything about these cars like i stated

i raced a mazda protege speed version? it had the badging and sounded nice..could hear his intake and exhaust..no contest i beat him easy but..when i hit 3rd gear he passed me lol...i like mazdas and want a speed 6

Yea, I raced my friend in his Mazdaspeed Protoge one time. It wasn't much of a contest.

But I think that car is pretty sweet.

stock mazdaspeed 3's run high 13's stock! I think I remember them trapping like 103-104 which is pretty quick..
