04 redline vs 2005 STI

Ya just got done racing a friend of mine who owns a 2005 STI, we ran twice from 2nd, i pulled him both times by a car or so. He was in shock that i beat him. I didnt want to go from a dig at all. I never knew Redlines had balls until i bought one. I have alot more respect for GM now with how they are handling their 4 cylinder cars.

STI's actually are not that fast from a roll......stock for stock an STI should only pull a redline by a few cars from a roll which isnt bad at all. He has a catback on his STI, thats all. My redline seemed like a factory freak, put down 219whp, Im probably putting down some good numbers now that its got the intake, piping and GMP stage II on it. Plus it was a perfect night out tonight, 35 degrees and crystal clear skys.

stage 2 rl 235-240whp vs stock STi 240-250whp but weighs a whole lot more. From a roll yes he can pull a stock STi, however run a 20g, fp green or 30r and that STi will mop you up. How do I know? I owened two rl's and did everything thats out there short of twincharging. Now I have two STi's that are modded pretty good.

ya, all i care about is running low 13's and still being a sleeper and having a good D/D, so thats what im building towards, i love the way STI's sound at WOT with exhaust. It suprised me that i won the race.

Nice Kill, all wheel from a roll doesn't help it much unless your putting down a lot of power (sin's got some damn power...geese...380/400!!). Iv'e witnessed a lot in the past month that just makes me wonder how in the F*CK everything works... Beat a wrx baaaaad from a roll, then got waxed by an intake only manual 5.7 gto...? Saw a 80+ highway pull of a gtu rx7 2nd gen (non boosted, prob. 150 whp/ 125 wtq rotary) vs. a stock evo (no idea the year) and the rx7 was KEEEPING UP DEAD EVEN to around 120. I need to start posting my vids... just got a HUUUUUGE Pile on this computer...-

Stock STi's are not that good from a roll. The best indicator of how you will do is trap speed in the 1/4th.

My buddy has a stage2 STi and he raced a stage2 Cobalt with a stock intake. They went from a 40 roll... it took until 5th for the sti to pull ahead and keep pulling.... When I was stg2 I raced a stock RL and pulled the RL like it was standing still.. therefor

From what I've seen, Cobalts/RL's react much better to mods then the STi's do.
