race a new 07 eclipse v-6 for 60 all the way thur 3 gear.... see says go on the 3rd honk.... so i hesate for a moment... get about 1/2 car then after that honestly wouldnt call it much of a race look in my rear view and hes about 4 or 5 cars back slow down his passenger gives me a thumbs up and the driver tell me that "im faster" im like "ok"....

Being a former 3rd gen eclipse owner, I am appauled and aghast at the astrocity that Mitsu has put before s disguised under the name of "eclipse".

The 3rd gen was heavier than the previous iteration and now, this one, is about 400 lbs heavier than the last model. With driver, you're lookin at about 3650 lbs and an LSD as an option that I doubt most 4th gen owners even know about.

The should rip the 6G72 with that MIVEC head out of that car and start over and make something with RWD. That would be hot.

Well I could def see you winning, but in all honesty it should have been a lot closer of a race, but then again im not sure what kinda traps you get with your mods? I would imagine a little over 100mph. Those new eclispse while being fat, heavy and ugly still can break into the high 13s and trap over 100mph stock. If this guy knew how to drive his car it should have been a pretty close race. Car and Drive only mananged a 14.5@"a little over 100mph" in their review. Motortrend managed a 14.2@100.9mph, but i have seen claims of high 13s, which sounds reasonable for that trap speed.

yes yes that can^^ i lost to a turbo prelude...had him through second then at end of 3rd he was about 1 car length in front...i had 3 people in the car lol...big people at that 200+ each
