Late 90s mr2 running 16lbs of boost is an easy mid 13 second car. My ex gf had two of them and they are pretty comparable to a RL stock for Stock, a little slower (14.7@95mph), but they handle like a dream. A stock MR2 turbo will run around 10psi, now if you are running 16psi which the stock CT26 (also found in the toyota supra and i believe turbo celica) can handle up to 20lbs you should have a full exhaust. Like I said before with a full exhaust and a boost controller running 16psi a MR2 turbo should be a solid 13 second car. My 88 turbo supra ran a 15.4@96mph stock and with just a boost controller and exhaust ran a 13.9@103mph. The MR2 using a very simliar turbo setup would have very close gains to what i got in my supra. People tend to run between a 13.3-13.7 at anywhere from 101-104mph with the stock turbo mr2running between 13-18psi. Either way its an older car and may not be running up to its potential anymore. Nice Kill. Also i believe the last year of the MR2 Turbo was 1994 possibly 1995, if you raced a late 90s one i would assume it was an aftermarket turboed MR-S or MR2 Spyder.
