the knew ones have 325 hp, 273 lb tq, and a top speed of about 180 (according to the porsche site) so they aren't going to be that easy to beat. Unless of course it was a older one and the had less power, which i don't know.

Not to drop a cold shoulder on the story but if the guy really was racing u then he can't drive the car. granted the carrera isn't the fastest porche but its fast enough to take a Redline on. unless it was one of the older carrera's a boxter I could believe no offense man I just find it a lil hard to beleave. not saying it is impossible

The 993's ('95-'97) run with stock LT1's, 996 Carreras ('98-'04) run close to what an auto LS1 runs: the new 997's ('05+) run a bit quicker than the manual LS1 runs (top end wise: auto and manual LS1's run about the same from a dig through the 1/4, but past that it's all about the manual). It all depends on what year and model Carrera it was, to help determine if he was messin' around or really on it.
