My experience with an SRT-4

well, Im stock, as you might already know.

Srt-4 had a CAI.

We did some 30 MPH rolls and I won them all. Then we did a digand he killed me off the start due to his brand new tires and my tracked used POS tires. I slowly reeled him in the entire race and we ended up olmost dead even, so basicly Redline vs SRT-4 both with good tires, Redline wins. Heres the other half of the story, the strip we used was for slower cars normaly, well lets just say 520 degrees and 110 mph, not good guys. Didnt hit anything thankfully.

actually its been proven time and time again, the srt is faster in a straight line and at the track stock for stock... now, with the srt-4's proven to be a great car for modding, a LOT of people are picking them up for 12k used. Usually with problems or put back to stock so fast they they are riddled with boost leaks... I ran into the owner of my old car a month ago, he told me that it won't boost over 3psi... 1 week later he blew an axel or a clutch, i can't remember which one. I traded that car in so fast once i got the dealership to agree on a price, most things were just put in half way. The srt-4 is becoming the new honda civic with all the kiddies buying it, and with that come people that don't know how to drive...

A kill is a kill though, good job

Well, we don't seem to have any Saturn IRL's over here unfortunately

Only one Cobalt SS/SC. So I have never gotten the chance to race the IRL. The Cobalt though isn't too bad in a race so if that both cars are anything alike the IRL must be a pretty good contender for the SRT-4.

Of course you do know that I am baised: SRT-4>SS/SC & IRL

Just playing. Good race and kill. I don't really follow the 540 degree thing though.

I was on the streets like a tard which I learned my lesson so if you really must everyone flame away. Anyways, we raced on a stip usualy reserved for slower cars. Got to the turn going over 100 and I was on the outside lane and i hit some gravel, did a 520 degree spin going over 100. I dont normaly drive over 100 even unless im racing which isnt often cuz speed kills people, speed on streets multiplies that, I proved my own point so take my advice keep it on the track. I olmost killed 4 people or at least 2 that were watching, or myself. But ya, lesson was learned so flamming isnt entirely nessasary but optional.

I have to say srt-4s are getting to be like civics, theres mabye 1 or 2 nice ones and the rest are kiddies who beat them and cut through traffic endangering my paintjob.

It is a sad state of affairs... 2 years ago, i could point out every SRT4 in the chicago area, and i knew the owner by name... my club had every car in the area on the site... It was car enthusist, people that wanted to have fun with a great car.. people that knew the potential of a car that many people were not willing to buy, the common person would walk in and see a 20k price tag on a "neon" and would laugh with out knowing what they were passing up.

I use to go to come hang out places, and there were few and far between srt4's out there, if they did show up they were part of my group... last week i went back to that hang out place, and saw at least 20 srt's running around the parking lot acting like complete idiots... it is a direct effect of how great the car is, but like all things, it gets ruined by the masses.

I have no regrets trading my srt4 in( I only had 9k on it) I'm 28 with a clean driving record and insurance was 250 a month!!!!!!!! My rl is a 100 bucks less a month. The rl has less potential than the srt-4. They have more factory and aftermarket backing, and stronger internals. But the rl feels so more solid than an srt4 IMO. I really disliked the turning radius and it felt like crap in the corners. I definetly don't regret trading it in for the rl, even though I get crap for it still. Plus I love the driving a car everyone sees as a bastard.

Sorry to hear that flo, still have mad videos of when you would hang with us! I really appreciate everything you taught me brotha... And for real, if you beat an srt4 from a dig to 100... stock vs stock... I've lost hands down EXCEPT when they have boost leaks lmao, and that's typically some punk kid who thinks they own the road... they get SOOO pissed they got beat by a saturn.. I give them thumbs up whether I win or lose EVERY TIME I RACE, and Mustang owners, and kidy srt4s owners flip me off... Learn2drive auto mustang gt kidy IDIOTS.
BTW HERE YOU GO FLO:
