If he was that far behind you, then he must have missed a gear or something.
your friend doesnt live over 6000' above sea level. and he has that motor in a much lighter car, his 13.2 would be a 14.5 or so up here, add a few hundred lbs for the fact that its a 94 hatch (2300lbs) and not a light ass CRX (1967lbs) This same hatch still has full interior and an audio system so add about another 100-200lbs and you have a low 15 second car that gets buslengths put on it by a modded supercharged car.

heres a video of me going from 40-105 with just the pulley.

Heres another of me raping a full bolt on mustang GT with nitrous. He got me out of the hole and i had to pay catch up but after 2nd gear it was pretty much over for him, we've raced a couple times and everytime he gets me by about 1/2 to a full car out of the hole and i usualy have about 4 cars on him by 100mph.

Another of me VS a honda civic hatchback with a B16 swap on 6psi and an EVO IX MR with an upgraded clutch and flywheel. the camera guy was driving a 1997 V6 maxima on 9psi and dynoed 270whp on 6psi... so if you're wondering why the race doesnt look like were moving too fast its because that maxima is fucking evil and was keeping up no problem at all.

well, there is no need to get all uptight and all. I was just saying that it doesn't make since that you could beat him that badly with your mods and that you could still "hear" him when he was 2 "buslengths" behind you. 2-3 cars maybe, but not buslengths.

also, my buddy has a crap ton of bodywork done, and a system himself. So I'm pretty sure that the civic hatch you raced is about equivalent to my bud's crx. An H22 powered CRX or Civic hatch is not gonna run 15's by the way, unless the driver is just that horrible. And my bud's crx wouldn't go from running 13.2's to 14.5's. That is some serious exaggeration. I think your whole post is nothing but exaggeration. I tried to give you props but you keep spitting crap out.

you know what I just noticed, you live in colorado springs, colorado. My buddy just so happens to be stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. He just pcs'ed there like 2-3 weeks ago. So how bout I hook you up with him and then you can let us know how that works out. I doubt he ends up "a few buslengths" behind you.

I pm'ed you his email and I already called him. He said whenever you're ready to run them he's ready too.

You obviously dont know much about altitude... for the most part vipers and vettes dont get out of the mid-high 13's up here depending on the year.

for example... the new Z06's run low 11's at sea level and average a mid 12 up here.
Ill run your friend but im not driving to fort carson, he's going to have to meet me here.

somewhere near ft. hood texas. I seriously doubt he would run higher than a 13.8 over there in CO. That's just rediculous to think that he'd slow down 1.5 sec's in the quarter. He'd have to trap like 95-97mph. that's losing like 40+hp. I don't think so bud.

He will lose 40+hp, and he will not run in the 13's with the same amount of modifcations.

If a guy in a turbo car is losing 40+ hp I will put money on it your friend will be losing even more. Turbocharged cars seem to lose almost half a second up there in the 1/4 while n/a tend cars lose a second or more.(at this altitude)

Here is something for you to think about.

I have a 2006 LS2 GTO...

I made 275 hp at the rear wheel. Car traps 100mph and runs low 14's.

The DA was 6500ft...

I lost more then 40hp.

Take it from someone whom has ran at Firebird in Phoenix, Area51, and in 8500ft DA's that the Albuqerque summers can bring... You lose alot of power, and a 1.5 second loss though somewhat extreme, isn't out of the question.

So to sum it up for you, you, your friend, will suffer greatly at a mile up or worse, to suggest otherwise is incorrect.

How about you and your friend drive your cars up a mountain, say 7500ft, then floor it and come back here and tell us neither of you suffered a significant power loss.
