Red H22 civic hatch... Nice try buddy.

So i was heading to go teach my dance class last night and i come across this red civic hatch (92-95ish)
I thought i recognized it and damn right...

it was the same hatch my old boss was selling, beautiful car... H22 swap, full bolt on's, full suspension, Neptune and clean as hell...

well... he used to always talk shit to me saying that his hatch would smoke the ION, for a while i started thinking the car might be capable just because it sounded so damn mean and from what i had always seen it moved pretty good.
I was wrong... The kid who bought it from him must think very highly of that car and i dont blame him... like i said... its a beautiful car he had his G/F in the car with him and started out behind me, downshifted and ripped past me in full ricer flyby fasion, i was in 3rd gear at a low rpm and put it down he kept pulling but not too hard so i figured... hrmmm.

he slowed down to about 40ish and i got up next side of him and let him know i wanted to try again. he downshifted first and got about a half a car ahead of me before i dropped to 2nd... It was embarassing, all i remember is seeing him fall back a few buslengths like he slammed on the brakes, then looking at my speedo at 105mph then back to the rearview mirror where i could still see and hear him trying to catch up... needless to say by that time i think we both knew the little H22 swapped hatch didnt stand a chance... he then pulled another ricer fly by once i slowed back to the speed limit, i honked and waved and headed on my way.
The look on both him and his girls faces was like this---> when i downshifted and pulled past them.

i raced my friend stock in my rl vs his h22 swapped civ coupe. it was 100% dead even through second, then in 3rd i pulled away as slow as you can imagine.

H22 swapped hatch or Crx are pretty damn quick unless the swap doesn't run right. the H22 makes between 190-200 HP and 165 ft-lbs (some models more)
A civic hatch with some weight reduction can be 2000lbs sometimes less.
200HP in 2000lbs = pretty fast

With that said you are at high altitude and you still run 101 mph ? Just read G-tech. That means 97-98 mph, they read high in MPH compared to the track
I'm sure you beat him. But bus lenghts ? I don't think your lying at all but I think he quit when you started to pass him. Happened to me many times with my other cars.

Oh no trust me he was still trying because once i got about 2 buslengths on him we pretty much stayed at that distance between eachother and when i let off at 105 he kept going and flew past me giving me the "mean mug" LOL...

the shop that tuned it just told me on a local forum that that car dynoed 180whp on thier dynojet.
And the G-Tech read 101.5mph when all i had was the pulley and hadn't reset the PCM yet, after my batery died and i jumped the car to restart it the thing has been a whole nother beats, now im running BFG KDW's, TQ braces, and a CAI along side the 2.8" pulley. and this bitch still runs hella rich I need a tune, have one sitting in my inbox but i gotta get to someone who can HP Tune it first

I'm sure he tried maybe he wanted you to slow down to get a start again (missed gear) etc..

I had a few encounters on a roll that I know the other think he was faster. One time I floor it and realize where just about to go near a common spot for police speed trap (they are there 1/3 of the time) He did not slow down kept going at 100mph +. I'm sure he thinks he raped a Saturn Redline. After I passed the spot I accelerated a bit to get another chance to race him but he was way too far.

My Talon puts 2-3 buslenghts in 3rd gear and part of 4th gear on the Saturn but it runs over 120 mph in the 1/4 mile. You don't have 20 mph on that Hatch. trust me something went wrong in that race. Maybe a few car lenghts that's what I would expect if everything went right for both of you.

a little bit off the subject of h22s but there is a local civic hatch here that is a k20 swap......that thing is the fastest car i have ever seen.......all motor he ran a 12.5 and then supercharged it and ran an 11.3 on slicks......that is omg fast lol
