VW needs to step up

Ran up against a new GTi last night, from a dig. I held the tach at about 1700 and nailed the light perfectly. I wheel hopped through the intersection and still had him by a car. About 60/70 ft after that it looked like he was two cars back. I really wanted it to be a closer race. I think if he got the light like I did we would have been more even. What do you guys think?

I got froggy with an R32 once, we stayed about even but that was when I was stock. Never did talk to the guy though so i couldn't say what he had done or if he was even trying.

What about the newer R32s? I had a buddy with an '05 or '06 (not too sure what year exactly) who wanted to run me, but he sold it before I got to. He sold it for more than he originally bought it for!
