AudiTT - Nice Ride, not really a kill, pretty long!

I was driving in some pretty rough morning rush-hour, and found a silver Audi TT, lowered, nice black rims, Audi Club of America sticker, nice body kit, exhuast, etc. Sharp looking car. I kept hearing him next to me revving it up, and letting off. So I look over and it's this 40-something guy checking out my car. Kinda gives me an odd look, almost confused. Then he passes me, I get behind him and we go through traffic for a while. Now I know his windows are open, so I push it a few times to get the supercharger to whine real loud, but nothing hard or riding his ass or anything.

So a nice open path of traffic opens up, I hear him let off, downshift and heads for the open path through traffic. Of course, I follow him and keep REAL close to him. This was a nice sounding Audi, I don't know if I could have taken him in an actual race. I think he had some SCCA stickers on there too. Anyway, after a few more min of 25mph driving, he shoots over to the right lane, slows down, and rolls the window all the way down as we get to some deadlock. I pulled up next to him, rolled my window down, and he yells: "Ok, I give up, what do you have in that thing?" So I reply, "Well it's got an intake, but other than that it's stock." "Stock?", he replys with a TOTAL look of confusion. "Yup, it comes supercharged from the factory", I tell him. At this point traffic has creeped up on us a little, and I have a clear lane ahead of me. "Get on it HARD!", he yells. Of course I oblige with a 2-1 downshift, light up the tires, jam it in second, and hit the brakes. So he swerves into the 3rd lane, comes around traffic again pulls up and yells "Now that's a god damn Saturn! That thing howls at you!" Gives me a wave and heads off through some clear lanes towards Ohare... Real cool guy. Neat story, sorry it's long!

It's actually kinda funny because you'd think that the guys that drive around in the Audi TT's would be jerkoffs, but I ran into one a month or so ago and we ran. When we pulled up to the next stop light he complimented on my car and he was real cool about everything. Now why can't those damn ricers take some lessons from the TT drivers?! LOL

Was driving next a silver TT on the highway one day, but the guy kept looking at me like I had two heads! (Insert joke here). Anyway, he takes off a little I catch up, he speeds up, I catch up, and so on and so on. Pretty soon we're doing about 70. I look over at the guy and give him the bobblehead, to which he looks at me like I have now officially lost my mind. I grabbed third and by the time this guy knew what happened, I was gone. The guy catches up about the time I am taking my exit with a look on his face that was priceless. Now this was not a kill, just merely a display of my RL. I still crack up when I fly by someone and all they see is that big ass REDLINE sticker in the back window.

I had an audi tt, i think it was a quattro, pull up next to me on my way home while I was crusing at 60 on one of the state roads around here. He slows down to about 40 and I drop it in second and slow down and I tell him to go so he hits it and then I do and I pull slowly on him and eventually pass him right as I have to make a right turn to go home so he slams on his brakes and cuts across 2 lanes to chase me cuz I guess he couldnt let a saturn with stickers beat him. We get to the stop light at the same time and wait for it to turn green and we both floor it off the line and its even until I shift into second then I pull about a 3/4 of a car and I almost crapped myself cuz at the 1 to 2 shift he almost hit my driver side door. But we get to the next stop sign and he wants to race again however I have proved my point so I take a right and go home while I'm sure he went home and slit his wrists
Im not impressed at all with the TT

There are two models Alpha, slower and faster... the faster ones should be faster than us, stock for stock.

Good kill either way.

I can't belive you found this thread again!

They are both 1.8t's (I think there is a 5cyl now too) one is 180hp and the other is 225hp (the 5cyl is 250 I think) but they are heavy as hell for how small they look... and the Quatro has a large powertrain loss.

The way you can tell if it is the faster version is by looking at the fat ass to see if there are single or dual exhaust exits... the later being the quicker one.

I don't see them being a problem for the RL (besides the 5cyl maybe)

yeah, the one from my original post was the faster one, and sounded pretty modded... VERY cool guy. I was hoping he would be at my races when I started...

VERY heavy car.
