Not so much a kill, just a lot of fun!

Happy 4th to all you guys! Man, after the fireworks, I did'nt expect to have much more excitement for the drive home...boy was I wrong! I was on my way home from Centerville to Vandalia, north of Dayton. (for all you SW Ohio guys) My girlfriend and I were pretty tired, we'd had a long day of this stuff. I'm on SR725 getting ready to hop onto I75 northbound when I notice the guy behind me kinda on my ass, jockin fo' position. I just keep on truckin, next thing I know we merge on and he streaks by! Not to be completely out done by a golf!...I drop a gear and start makin money. There was very little traffic, so I caught up to him and we both cruise at about 110mph. He gives my a courtesy wave and gets off at the next exit. Fun, right? I'm gettin to the goods! After the little follow the leader with what I guess was a newer GTI or R32, I get into Moraine, just south of downtown Dayton. I roll up in the left next to a mid-90s black Z28. Looks nice, except for some kind of gay frosted flower thing on the driver side window. Anywho, toolin' alongside him we get a large break in traffic. Before I could tell my girl,"I think he want's to play", he rolls like a bus on me! I play catch-up, do a little bob & weave from lane to lane, having way too much fun, coming up to SR35 interchange, I'm about a half car back. I glance down to the gauge long enough to see somewhere past 120+. Time to shut down! It's 11pm, downtown, and I like having my license! We cruise through downtown, he gives my a nice parting wave, and get's off at Main st. Nither instance was a kill by any means, but fun nonetheless! I'm rollin an 04' RL, bone stock. Not even a drop-in K&N (waiting for lottery for CAI) What impressed was that my car could really keep up with these guys. The VW, I can understand, if I had been more attentive, he'd be checkin my ass! But the Z28 might have been an LT1, and I was more than holding my own! Plus the other nice thing was that these guys did'nt seem to be you're typical boy-ricer chumps! They acted like they had as much fun as I did, not like hard-ass wanna-be's! All and all a real nice note to cap-off the fourth for 05'

I love runs like that. I don't need a kill to enjoy the drive. Way to go man, and well told.
