Oh, were we racing?????

Well, since I got my graphics put on my car, it seems I've been getting a lot more attention (and races).

Today I pulled up to a light next to a civic that also had some white stripe body graphics, ground fx, rims, exhaust etc.

I just looked over at his car and he looked at mine. Never acknowledged one another or rev'd engines or anything. I think nothing of it.

When the light changes though, he takes off like a bat out of hell!!!! I'm like, "OK, so you wanna race eh?" I quickly catch him and we're doing about 45, I put in my clutch and had my exhaust SCREAM at him as I let off and proceeded to leave him about 3 to 4 car lengths back.

Even the suprise attack could not yield him a victory.

He stayed back the rest of the time until I turned off onto the freeway. I was at least expecting a flyby as I turned off.

Haha, I've had that happen all too often; it seems like every pay day I've been driving up to work to get my check with the low fuel light on and somebody wants to race. I raced a kid in a black Grand Prix, turned out he worked with me He was astonished how far I pulled on him (it was a lightly modded GT) in such a short span.

Haha, yea a guy with his brand new STi wanted to go (he had a FULL car, and I mean FULL, at least an extra 650 to 700 lbs) and so I wanted to test my car against a heavy STi. Ah lass, I had my warning light on when I got to work meaning there was around 7 litres or so in the tank and didn't want to push my luck (granted, 7 litres will take you far, but that light/chime comes on for a reason). And, nice catch up and pass victory...lol.

For me what happens is when I'm driving with family members or other people that don't appreciate spirited driving. Also I notice when I'm driving around in someone else's car (my mother's malibu maxx for instance) always brings the goofy kids {no offense goofy guy} out of the woodwork. But I also have run into the "gas gage near E" as well, but don't let that stop me . What's scary is when you are going fast enough to actually see the gas gage move slowly closer to the E. Good Kill JPK, haven't seen you much on here lately. You check the "Texas" section?

Good kill JPK, yeah I usually get the racerboys either when I'm with the wife or my kid. But not so much when I"m alone, unless I start it off.

I get them with the wife as well, however she's the one that says: "c'mon honey, you can beat the hell out of them!!" Kid just wants me to "go fast", I don't with the kid though......

It never fails... The only time I get attention is whenmy wife is riding shotgun. She hates it, and I mean HATES it, when I race people. I always end up with a sore right arm from her repeated punches. She won't let up until I do... Oh well, she has saved me from a at least two tickets since we have been married.
