The average driver in a GT500 should make high 12's to low 13's in the 1/4 mile while the Cobalt T/C good driver mod can make high 13's if not mid 13's. Put a good tune alone on the Cobalt T/C and you're looking at a car that could very well match or beat the GT500 due to weight to power ratio.
The cobalt TC is a little bit faster than a Cobalt SS. Its around the same speed as a stock mustang GT and a good amount slower than a GT500, put the crack pipe down. A cobalt TC with a very good driver is a high 13 second car, a stock Mustang GT is the same. To say a stock cobalt TC will blow out a new model mustang GT with ease is laughable. The mustang GT is a upper to even mid 13 second car stock. A GT500 is a mid 12 second car with a good driver, they are in different leagues.

Well a bad driver in the GT500 will lose to a good driver in a T/C. If both are bone stock then the guy in the GT500 pretty much doesn't know how to drive a manual. His excuse is pretty bad, new to the car or not if he had a manual before he'd at least be decent enough to beat the Cobalt, but.... a LOT of people still underestimate Cobalts as being fast in any way so they'll continue to surprise people until they accept that a Cobalt has potential like any other car.

yeah um the TC balt aint no mid 13 factory stock.. and the GT500 break's DEEP into the 12's STOCK with a great driver.. so ya the balt has potential but to think it can hang with the GT500 if the driver's have equal skill is not practical the balt will see tail light's fading in the distance.. it's like the M3 vs stage 2 balt race that was staged.. it was a stage 2 with intake SS/SC vs an E46 M3.. the car's weigh ABOUT the same but the beamer has 333hp and 262 tq STOCK(crank)... and is reported to run a 13.3 @108ish.. i have seen faster times from one tho.. and even if the balt does trap that high it aint no low 13's.. that's for sure..

I did not say the Balt would hit low 13's stock. I said it is POSSIBLE for a good driver to hit high-13's stock and maybe mid-13's, and that's assuming all the variables go his way and he hooks up good.

so how many brand new cars have you gotten in and had it less than 5 miles... or even 50 engine starts...

so if the guy has had it longer than a few days its over this period....

sorry but i havent seen it.. no mid 13's on the .net for a stock SS/TC... the mag's all say 13.9 @104 stock which is amazing but it still aint mid 13's.. argue ALL you want to it's fact..shaving 4 tenth's off a PRO driver's time aint gonna happen.. maybe one or two given PERFECT condition's but not 4...

Many/Most GT500's are delivered with less than 5 miles ( I will give you it must be 5 consecutive miles or 50 start/warm-up cycles). Given that most Gt500 were factory ordered and the owner specified no PDI or test drives.

As a direct answer to your question.....every one of my new cars has had less than 5 miles.
